Er kwam nog meer langsheen Leutesdorf, maar het was allemaal rood wat de klok sloeg. Rond de klok van twee besloten we nogmaals van stek te veranderen. We hadden allebei wel zin in een hernieuwd bezoek aan het namiddagpunt in Bad Hönningen. Hier hadden we verleden jaar namelijk allebei een soort WOW effect ondervonden, dat nog versterkt werd door de toen aanwezige herfstkleuren.

Diezelfde herfskleuren troffen we dankzij de langdurige droogte ook al dit jaar aan, weilswaar nog niet zo intensief (de wijnranken moesten namelijk nog verkleuren).

Wat we in Bad Hönningen ook aantroffen, was een bui over de rechterzijde van de Rijnvallei. De lokale stapelwolken waren hier namelijk al voldoende gegroeid om een paar sporadische donderslagen te laten horen. Maar er was ook nog steeds zon aanwezig – de onweersbui bevond zich niet boven ons – tegen de donkere achtergrond een mooi schouwspel om te zien!

We left Leutesdorf and headed to Bad Hönningen - for the second time that day. One year ago we already visited this spot with a fine result so a second visit wasn't a punishment ;-)

Although there was a little thunderstorm in the background over the hills of the right bank of the Rhine Valley, we could take pictures of several freight trains in the sun, giving a fine contrast. The first one had this Siemens 152 at the front.

Das Gewitter war noch nicht durchgezogen, aber der nachmittägliche Zug von Sokółka nach Kuźnica stand im strömenden Regen schon abfahrbereit im Bahnhof, an ein Bild war hier nicht zu denken. Der Zug erhielt die Ausfahrt und kam langsam näher, als der Regen ganz kurz vor der Durchfahrt hier nachließ und sich ein Hauch Licht zeigte:

Nicht mehr bei DB Cargo aktiv ist die Baureihe 145. Im März 2015 war von einer Abstellung der Baureihe durch die DB-Tochter noch nichts zu ahnen, als 145 040 mit einem Coilzug bei Wetter die Ruhr überquerte.

Creo que este es el mejor titulo que le podía poner a la fotografia, ya que después del viaje a Colonia, volví con un archivo de fotografias impensable, ya hace 5 meses del viaje, y no tengo procesadas ni un 25% de las fotografias, parece que no se acaben nunca. Hoy os dejo este carbonero tirado por un par de 152 en Porz am Rhein, un punto y una linea brutales.

Crec que aquest es el millor titol que l' hi podia posar a la foto, ja que després del viatje a Colonía vaig tornar amb un arxiu brutal de fotografies. Ja fa 5 mesos del viatje i no tinc ni un 25% de fotos processades, sembla que no s' acabin mai...

DGS 95546 Hamburg Hohe Schaar - Pirna Gbf

Am 6. September 2024 fuhr mir auf der Westumfahrung des Rangierbahnhofes Maschen mal wieder eine Elektrolok der Baureihe 388 vor die Kamera. Die 388 006-9 von CD Cargo. Die Mehrsystemlok war im Hafenbahnhof Hohe Schaar mit einem Kesselwagenzug gestartet und befand sich auf den ersten Kilometern ihrer Fahrt in Richtung Tschechien als sie unter der Decatur-Brücke hindurch fuhr. Der Zug bestand aus grauen und mehrheitlich blauen KeWa von CD Cargo und zwei Exemplaren von WASCOSA. Die tschechischen E-Loks sind inzwischen ein fast tägliches Erscheinungsbild im Raum Hamburg. Insgesamt konnte ich zwischen 12 und 14 Uhr sieben Güterzüge auf der langgezogenen Fotokurve ablichten. Eine wirklich sehr gute Ausbeute. Sowohl quantitativ als auch qualitativ. Es waren ein paar neue Lokomotiven für die Sammlung dabei. Ich habe bereits schon eine Bild von diesem Tag gezeigt und es wird vermutlich in der nächsten Zeit noch ein weiteres folgen...

EN: As OHE itself hauled the freighttrains on their own network... The only sheduled train on the line Winsen - Soltau was the monday, wednesday, friday only afternoon freight from Niedermarschacht. We see that train before reaching Hützel, near Hörpel.

Un train du Roberval & Saguenay, aujourd'hui opéré par Rio Tinto, roule vers l'Est et passe à Chicoutimi, au sud de Saguenay. L'unité 50, en tête du train, a été construite en 1970 pour l'AT&SF. Les 3 U23-S7 reconstruites que possédait le RS ont été retirés du service, la 50 en 2015 et les 51/52 en 2019.

A Roberval & Saguenay train, nowadays operated by Rio Tinto, runs eastwards and passes by Chicoutimi, south of Saguenay. Unit 50, leading the train, was built in 1970 for AT&SF. The three rebuilts U23-S7s that the RS owned were retired from service, unit 50 in 2015 and 51/52 in 2019.

KYLSALI working its way west between Bellaire and Smith Center with 5 motors and 159 cars

Sun is setting over a sleepy shunting yard in Esslingen, Württemberg. The old, unsuspecting nightwatchman just started his rounds. Not knowing there is an unscrupulous crook around the next corner. How will this encounter end?

After seeing www.flickr.com/photos/thomas_reincke/52972245863/in/datep... posting his beautiful Württemberg Guterwagens/boxcars I wanted to post my own rendition. I've also got my hands on some dark green 1x2 tiles in the Lego online store and was finally able to build a boxcar in dark green. The techniques used in the design are much similar to my boxcars for cattle but I had to find a way to make the sides without the 2x4 and 2x3 tiles which are either not available in dark green or in case of the first more expensive than gold. After some puzzling I found a - very parts intensive @Nick ;) - solution and this afternoon I took an hour to create this small diorama.

The boxcar is Epoche 1 and based on this Marklin model: rlp.museum-digital.de/object/60607

I’m probably going to use it as the first car for an upcoming Bavarian freight train/guterzug.

Fin de journée pour ce train de ballast lors de la construction de la LGV Méditerranée qui s'en retourne à la base travaux de Cheval Blanc. Le train est composé de six machines dont les A1A-A1A 68035, 68509, 68001, 68029, et des BB 66110 et 66270. Il vient de ballaster un secteur au nord de Roquemaure le 17 avril 2000.
