CN L512, the Lakefront Local as it’s called, passes through CP 503 on its return run to Kirk Yard with a nice GTW blue pair. Leading east is GP9R 4632, a unit that rarely leads anything due to its lack of PTC, so it definitely a treat to see it on point of this job.
In the background, demolition crews are hard at work demolishing the old IHW Sinter Plant on the west side of the canal.

Loaded Aurizon Karara narrow gauge iron ore train crosses the Greenough River at Eradu on its way to the port at Geraldton WA. The train has two ACN locos up front (ACN4151-4172) and a third as DPU (ACN4144) just visible at the rear. The river still has some water after recent rains. May 4, 2022.

Ook op Dinsdag 16 Juni 2026 was dit het geval met als tractie 2 RFO Nez Cassés! Dit keer de 1829 en 1830 in Dubbeltractie.
Elke treinspotter / liefhebber die graag fotos maakt heb ook soms gewoon pech gekregen met de zon met wolken of iets, wijs woord dat je niet alles goed kan hebben!
Maar tevreden waren de 2 fotografen zekers wel op het station Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn.
Hier komt de fraaie trein om 12:33 het station van Vaartsche rijn binnen om even een Intercity voor te laten en zijn weg te vervolgen als Tr 42316 naar Tilburg Goederen vanuit Almelo

After more than 24 hours of dense fog across the region, early morning light shines on an eastbound manifest as it accelerates from a stop in downtown Fremont, NE. The fog caused our family to cancel a planned outing to Lincoln the previous evening, but the railroad has kept safely moving the entire time. Evidence: these two locomotives were trailing on a westbound train that I saw at this same spot the previous morning (www.flickr.com/photos/revbry/50803981757/). They must've made a quick turnaround at North Platte overnight. Most Americans probably pay little mind to how amazing it is that this vital transportation network keeps moving reliably 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with little interruption. Thank you, railroaders!

I was taking pictures of UP's South Local with its pair of GP60's as it backed down the branch towards Western Metals Recycling when this beauty drove by. It's not often in life when the timing is perfect, but when it is... oh baby.

The last light of day fades away as the high priority produce train from Delano, CA to Cheyenne, WY nears its destination at Cheyenne yard. The train will pick up cars in Cheyenne, change symbols, and continue its journey east through the night.

What would unfortunately be the end of the chase of this train. CSX 7784 had been approaching us rather slowly and we had heard an emergency application as it approached. For the rest of the afternoon, the crew and the diesel doctor would attempt to fix the constant PCS opening and no flow on the train with seemingly no success. Eventually, the crew would end up turning the first 4 motors to have a UP leader hoping it would fix the issue.
