With three left on the roster, the DB Cargo 1600 class engines are getting rare. Rumor has it they will be sidelined in April. So for now it's get them while you can.

Op zondag, mijn laatste dag in de omgeving van de Brennerbahn vorig jaar, ging ik in de late middag en vroege avond nog een paar uurtjes kijken op het station van Matrei am Brenner. De reden hiervoor was dat mogelijk de TXL 193 555 "Offroad" vanuit München onderweg was. Helaas kreeg ik vlak na mijn aankomst een melding dat de desbetreffende loc was vertrokken richting het noorden en dus niet mijn kant op kwam. Alhoewel TXL dus niet met haar "Offroad" voorbij kwam, stuurde ze wel een andere special naar mij toe.
Terwijl de zon bijna volledig achter de parkeergarage is gezakt zien we de TXL 193 551 "Zwei Pole", gehuurd van AlphaTrains, in voorspan met de van MRCE gehuurde TXL 193 673 het station van Matrei am Brenner passeren. De twee machines zijn bergopwaarts richting Brennero onderweg met een volbeladen intermodale trein welke vanuit Duitsland richting Italië onderweg is!

Running on trackage rights over Pan Am, CMQ 2006 rolls up to the switch at CPL-16 in Brunswick, ready to head home to Rockland. Pan Am leaves cars for the CMQ a mile west of here at CPL-15, and the CMQ has trackage rights over Pan Am between CPL-17 (Rock Junction) and CPL-15 for interchange purposes, dropping outbound cars, and picking up the inbound cars in the controlled siding there. The BNSF painted B23-7 is one of four operating for the CMQ, and are the only Dash 7s running in Maine, holdovers from predecessor MMA's large Dash 7 fleet.

The hungarian railway line No. 66 is very beautiful with his landscapes, not to mantion that it is not electrified, so it has the vibe. The line goes to Croatia, so sometimes freight trains also use this route to reach their destination.
