Montana Rail Link EMD F45 No. 390 leads LM (Laurel to Missoula manifest freight) approaching Greycliff, Montana, on the afternoon of October 3, 2005. The train will be treading through snow by the end of of the day during a blue hour climb of Bozeman Pass.

Nous sommes tout juste à l’Est de New Carlisle et le train 566 de la Société du chemin de fer de la Gaspésie longe la Baie des Chaleurs et continue sa route vers la cimenterie de Port-Daniel, ici sur une section de voie qui a totalement été reconstruite pour prévenir les effets de l’érosion sur celle-ci.
Here we are just east of New Carlisle as Gaspé Rwy. Society train 566 runs along the Chaleurs Bay and continue its trip towards the Port-Daniel cement plant, here on a completely newly-rebuilt section of track to prevent erosion on the line.
SAPPI 3 crosses Rt 201 in Fairfield on its way back from the mill. MEC 370 and GMTX 406 bring 34 cars back from the mill.
The northbound NRFF is framed by an old code pole and Lehigh Valley signal at an area called Bergers between White Haven and Crestwood, PA on the current day Reading & Northern's Lehigh Division.

SCFG train 565 uses the wye at Matapédia to let some cement hoppers in the east side of the small CN yard.

As much as I try to avoid using my drone whenever possible, there are some times when I'm just too intrigued as to what it would look like. I didn't expect the view of the Battle River Valley, looking northeast, to be half as pretty as this - but I couldn't help but feel amazed looking at the drone controller. A westbound grain train led by a newly rebuilt AC44C6M set the stage, as they rolled across the expanse. Although the trestle looks smaller from the sky, the true size of it is amplified when you can see the whole train in one image. I try not to fall in love with drone images too often, as I think they're kind of cheating… but I couldn't think of a better photo to end the trip with.

ÖBB 1116 178 goes near Pfarrwerfen, with the mixed freighttrain 54597, from Linz Vbf Ost to Villach Süd at 2019.12.31.
BNSF eastbound local R-NWE8451-21 blasts out of Tunnel 3, and milepost 68 in the Columbia River Gorge east of Cooks, Washington, on BNSF's Fallbridge Subdivision. BNSF GP39E 2741 (former CB&Q rebuilt GP30) leads the train.
CSXT B786 is passing Dundee Feeds In Huntingdon a bit before sunset. Soon it will back three hoppers towards the mill.

Dort war die hervorragend wieder in den Ablieferungszustand von 1957 zurückversetzte 140 002 für die Pressnitztalbahn mit einem leeren Autozug von Emden Rbf nach Bremen Rbf unterwegs. Diesmal waren hinter der Lok Flachwagen eingereiht, die auf der Hinfahrt am 23.12. ID-Buzz geladen hatten. Doch das ist einen eigenen Beitrag wert ;)

CSX B731 exits the west end of Walpole Tunnel on the MBTA Franklin Branch. This train has just made the run on the main from Readville and will soon take the switch at Walpole Interlocking. From Walpole the train will take the Framingham Secondary north for the Nevins Yard in Framingham.

It’s only a matter of time before CN replaces these searchlight signals. Leading the train is SLR SD70MAC 4023, which wears the Genesee & Wyoming livery, as it was built as BNSF 8982 in 2000.
The Atlantic Rover's first job of the day was to pull some hoppers from the end of a spur on the far side of Atlantic. 513 slowly makes it way to the hoppers passing the Atlantic ethanol plant
Die blitzsaubere 159 205 der HHPI war am 18.03.2025 mit einem Leerkohlezug von Großkrotzenburg nach Wilhelmshaven unterwegs und legt sich in Letmathe vor der örtlichen Industriekulisse in die Kurve.
SBB 193 657 "Lago Maggiore" war mit einem Containerzug am 12.04.2025 bei Lorch auf der rechten Rheinstrecke unterwegs.
Tien minuten voordat dit klassiek stel als IC naar Binche het herfstige Hennuyères passeerde, stond ik dus nog op de brug die je op de voorgaande foto kan zien.
En vanop de brug had ik dus een fraai zicht op de dagelijkse intervormingstrein van Antwerpen naar Châtelet. Op woensdag 12 oktober was de trein goed gevarieerd met een extra loc reeks 77 - achteraan - maar niet te zien op de foto - bolden nog heel wat (al dan niet beladen) staalwagons mee!

De 189 099 'van' Rotterdam Rail Feeding is na (terug-)verkoop aan DB Cargo de Distrirailbestickering kwijtgeraakt. Dacht dat ik hem niet had maar na even zoeken blijk ik hem wel degelijk op de foto te hebben. Hier op zaterdag 18 juli 2020 bij Willemsdorp met trein 41717 van de Maasvlakte naar Duisburg Rheinhausen.
Die BBL Logistik 30 kam am 6. August 2024 mit einem Güterzug durch Freden (Leine) gen Süden gefahren.
