Die 145 047 fuhr am 29. Dezember 2005 durch dichtem Schneetreiben mit einem Güterzug bei Bergholz-Rehbrücke über dem Berliner Außenring gen Hamburg.
Met een containertrein naar Hamburg aan de haak reed de 145 047 op 29 december 2005 door Bergholz-Rehbrücke en door de sneeuw over de Berlijnse Außenring.
Engine 145 047 of German Rail was headed for Hamburg on in snowy conditions on December 29th 2005 and was spotted near Bergholz-Rehbrücke.
Passing the vintage grain elevator at Slater, Wyoming, is a a southbound BNSF freight on May 30, 1998. The train is powered by a colorful A-B-A locomotive consist, with Santa Fe GE C40-8W No. 870 leading Burlington Northern GE B30-7A booster No. 4056 and Santa Fe EMD GP7u No. 2096.

Van 6 tot en met 13 september werd in Beekbergen nog een week van de zomervakantie doorgebracht. Tijdens het verblijf in Beekbergen vond op 7 en 8 september het festival Terug naar Toen van de VSM plaats. Op beide dagen werden meerdere treinen tijdens dit festival op de foto gezet.
De zaterdagmorgen begon erg mistig. Hierdoor konden er sfeervolle foto's worden gemaakt. Bij de overweg aan de Ruggeweg was de mist niet zo dik als op andere plekken langs de lijn. Tevens scheen de zon op deze locatie flets door de mist heen. Op de vroege zaterdagmorgen is locomotief 41 241 van de VSM met de eerste goederentrein onderweg naar Beekbergen.

Bis Ende 2022 hielten dort noch jede Stunde Loks der Baureihe 143 auf der Linie S9, heute sind die LEW Loks nur noch selten auf der Strecke zu sehen. Durch einige Bauarbeiten im Leipziger Raum fuhr der Containershuttle Małaszewicze - Guben - Neuss über die Strecke Cottbus - Eilenburg - Halle und anschließend weiter über Köthen nach Magdeburg. So konnte der Zug beim Haltepunkt Hohenroda aufgenommen werden. Da in Halle dann ein Fahrtrichtungswechsel anstand war am Zugschluss 143 173 angehangen. Eine Regenfront, die sich östlich von Eilenburg befand sorgte außerdem für eine Imposante Wolkenstimmung.

After a slightly late departure out of Brownville Junction, Job 1 is seen just over an hour late charging upgrade at milepost 19, passing the somewhat frozen bog there. A trio of former Canadian Pacific SD40-2Fs, all wearing the colors of their new owner, lead the way, with about fifty cars trailing behind them. A good running time and no switching means that they will arrive in Jackman around 1330, leaving plenty of time for us to chase Job 2 back east.
An eastbound Santa Fe freight led by EMD GP50 No. 3821 sweeps through a curve between Cosnino and Darling, Arizona, on the morning of April 20, 1990.
Job 1 slowly rolls over the bridge at Greenville Junction, with the lead AC44 framed by the through truss. A slow order crossing the bridge here allows one to grab a shot at Kyleton on the other side of town, then handily beat them down into the junction here, and shoot them crossing the bridge as well. At one point, the Bangor & Aroostook used to interchange with the Canadian Pacific here, as well as having a dock here for Moosehead Lake, Maine's largest lake (which has over 400 miles of shoreline), but the BAR's Greenville Branch was pulled up in the early sixties due to the lack of traffic.

Op 16 juli 2010 was ik rondom Dörpen actief. O.a. de Emslandstrecke werd bezocht en daarnaast Haselüne en Dörpen. In Dörpen worden aan het begin van de middag de vuilcontainers per trein opgehaald. Een klus voor de Emsländische Eisenbahn. Normaliter staat de locomotief achter de trein en wordt de trein over de goederenspoorlijn richting het station geduwd. Vandaag werden de wagens echter al eerder geplaatst en vertrok de locomotief weer. Halverwege de middag kwam tot mijn verrassing de D25 van de Bentheimer Eisenbahn in actie om de wagens op te halen. Zodoende kon ik de trein met het zonnetje in mijn rug mooi op de foto zetten. Iets wat normaal op deze plek bijna nooit mogelijk is.
Op de foto zien we de D25 (ex-DB 211 345-4) van de Bentheimer Eisenbahn AG met afvaltrein Dörpen-Salzbergen op het industrieterrein van Dörpen op 16 juli 2010. De wagens worden ondertussen nog beladen.
Helaas gaat dit vervoer vanaf 2025 weer via de weg en verdwijnen deze korte vuiltreintjes van het spoor.
About eleven miles west of the well known Onawa trestle is the much more remote Wilson Stream trestle, which gets far less coverage than the slightly bigger and more scenic Onawa trestle. CPKC's eastbound 120 is seen crossing the bridge in full dynamics as they descend downgrade with about 12,000' of train trailing.

Gisteren kreeg ik van een bevriend machinist bij TUC-Rail te horen dat hij vandaag, 21 juni, met een viertal lege tremels vanuit Schaarbeek naar Quenast zou sporen. Jammer genoeg kon hij me wel nog niet zeggen met welke loc dat zou zijn.
Nu... in eerste instantie moest ik hem ook teleurstellen want ja... de lessen in het volwassenenonderwijs mogen er dan wel op zitten, de vergaderingen schieten nu als paddenstoelen uit de grond.
Maar goed, een vergadering stopt natuurlijk ooit wel eens en dus vond ik toch nog een gaatje om de terugrit met de beladen tremels te documenteren.
Ik trok dan ook rond 11u richting 'Gare de Quenast' waar ik eerst wat bijbabbelde met de machinist - en wat bleek: ik was ook niet alleen met dat idee ;-)
Rond 11u50 kwamen de vier beladen tremels (die dus eerder op de ochtend leeg naar Quenast waren gebracht) met het nieuwe spoor-wegvoertuig van Sagrex uit de steengroeve en kon het rangeren beginnen. De 5508 werd netjes voor het korte sleepje gezet en na de remproef stond niets het vertrek van de trein nog in de weg.
Ik vertelde de machinist dan ook waar ik me ging zetten voor de foto en het filmpje en dat had een waar spektakel tot gevolg ;-)

NECR 610 heads south through South Windham, CT with the pair of Blue and Golds, NECR 3857 and NECR 3844. Not many photogenic spots between Willimantic and C.C. Lounsbury in South Windham, so being short on time I grabbed a shot along route 32.

As much as I try to avoid using my drone whenever possible, there are some times when I'm just too intrigued as to what it would look like. I didn't expect the view of the Battle River Valley, looking northeast, to be half as pretty as this - but I couldn't help but feel amazed looking at the drone controller. A westbound grain train led by a newly rebuilt AC44C6M set the stage, as they rolled across the expanse. Although the trestle looks smaller from the sky, the true size of it is amplified when you can see the whole train in one image. I try not to fall in love with drone images too often, as I think they're kind of cheating… but I couldn't think of a better photo to end the trip with.

ÖBB 1116 178 goes near Pfarrwerfen, with the mixed freighttrain 54597, from Linz Vbf Ost to Villach Süd at 2019.12.31.
Twee BLS Re 4/4 locs waren op 23 juli 1998 met een lange goederentrein met aluinaarde onderweg naar het in Noord-Italie gelegen Domodossola. De foto werd gemaakt te Frutigen.
Zwei Re 4/4 Loks der BLS brachten am 23. Juli 1998 ein Tonerdezug nach Domodossola (bzw. bis zur Grenze) und wurden auf dem Kanderviadukt bei Frutigen fotografiert.

Coming out of Logan at a crawl it would stop behind other traffic waiting for Mo Valley and Cal Jct to be cleared up.

... kam bei mir nochmals der Wunsch nach einem Güterzug im letzten Abendlicht auf; möglichst sollte dabei der vordere Stromabnehmer der Lok gehoben sein, da sich dieser so deutlich besser ins Bild integrieren lässt.
Eigentlich schon ein recht spezieller Wunsch, doch kaum hatte ich meinen Satz beendet, erschien am Horizont etwas Verkehrsrotes, das sich wenig später als ein ÖBB-Taurus entpuppen sollte. Dass dieser außerdem den vorderen Stromabnehmer gehoben hatte, war ein durchaus glücklicher Umstand. Dass die Lok aus dem Hause Siemens zudem eine Teilreklame trug, war beinahe zuviel Glück auf einmal. Zufrieden über diese Aufnahme konnte anschließend dann der Heimweg angetreten werden.
Oder das Ganze neutraler formuliert: 1116 072 "Gebrüder Weiss" mit einem Containerzug am Abend des 12. März 2015 bei Heddesheim/Hirschberg auf der Main-Neckar-Bahn.
