On Gellert Hill in Budapest, Hungary

another one from the snowy beach last february

🇬🇧

The sixth frame of the series, as the storm continues to press down on the city.

The Gothic lines of the church emerge and fade at the same time, half-revealed through the falling snow, while people pass by with their heads down, bundled up and anonymous. Architecture feels solid and fragile all at once, carved in stone yet momentarily softened by weather.

I was drawn to this contrast: permanence versus transience, the city’s history briefly blurred by a storm that, sooner or later, would move on.

🇮🇹

The pacific Ocean at dusk Coolum Main Beach, framed by a pandanus on a beautiful winter evening!

Although there are three more to go in this series this may be my favourite of the bunch. Although I really liked my post from yesterday, the barn was way too small and way to weak to be thought of as a main subject. In this case, although the fencing of the players bench area at a local ball diamond is very prominent within the scene, I believe the fencing and foreground takes a supporting role, and the main subject is the tree in the foggy distance. At least that is how I saw and photographed it.

This shot was also taken with the Nikon 28mm f3.5 manual focus lens at f11.
