A quick Halloween Idea! Last week at King of Prussia Mall, I saw a shadow box w/faux bugs in it as decor. $125 to $150 each. I made my version using a recycled frame, sheet of scrapbook paper and rubber/plastic critters, dab of hot glue. My price $2.25. You can create a high end version w/an ornate double sided glass shadow box w/critter, silk ribbon for under $10. Perfect for last minute Halloween crafting and parties! xoxo

Gorgeous antique frames I am itching to use from a great flea market. I think the oval one is a barbola frame, correct me if I am wrong! it has coloured bits at the top bottom and sides, wherever there are flowers.

I got these pictures/frames at TJ Maxx for only $3.00 each. I'm addicted to prints and having them framed at craft stores costs a fortune! I don't have a mat cutter yet so I buy these frames on sale and just use whatever mat is included. Some of them have pictures or paintings included.. I just rip out the back and replace what is in there with my own stuff. Most of these picture/frame costs less than buying an empty frame in craft stores.

I like black or dark brown frames and antique finish too.

9/365 9th Jan 10. A quick and simple on today. I've been wanting to put some of my photos up around the house so I've been trying to decide which ones will look the best. These are the frames for them.

HOW TO DISSOLVE A MALIGNANT SPELL (ART AND MAGIC?)

This is a photo-silkscreen-aquatint. I have used the photographic technique in order to separate the gray tones from my original radiograph by putting it in contact with lith film, in this way using various exposure times I have obtained 3 transparents to high contrast that is by the pure blacks; with these latest I have prepared 3 screen printing frames with which I have printed on as many zinc slabs with a resistant special enamel to the bathroom in nitric acid. After performing a simple etching I treated the slabs with the rosin and with multiple acid etchings in order to obtain more or less dark shades; Finally, I proceeded to inking the plates and print on Fabriano Rosaspina.

COME SCIOGLIERE UN MALIGNO INCANTESIMO (ARTE E MAGIA?)

Si tratta di una una foto-serigrafia-acquatinta. Ho utilizzato dapprima la tecnica fotografica per separare i toni di grigio da una mia radiografia originale mettendola a contatto con una pellicola fotomeccanica, in questo modo utilizzando tempi di esposizione diversi ho ottenuto 3 trasparenti ad alto contrasto ovvero dai neri puri; con quest'ultime pellicole ho preparato 3 quadri serigrafici coi quali ho stampato su altrettante lastre di zinco con uno smalto speciale resistente al bagno nell'acido nitrico. Dopo aver eseguito una morsura piana ho trattato le lastre con la colofonia e con morsure multiple al fine di ottenere tonalità più o meno scure; infine ho provveduto ad inchiostrare le lastre e a stampare su carta Rosaspina Fabriano.

This is the hand quilting frame hanging from the ceiling in my quilting/sewing studio, it is lowered with pulleys and ropes when needed.

Frames of SAR NG15 No.120 at Gelert's Farm, Porthmadog. Engine is dismantled for possible overhaul.

Without the wall racks, 9 1 1/4" frames will fit with room to spare.
