Insect Artifact Frames! Made using a variety of supplies.
A quick Halloween Idea! Last week at King of Prussia Mall, I saw a shadow box w/faux bugs in it as decor. $125 to $150 each. I made my version using a recycled frame, sheet of scrapbook paper and rubber/plastic critters, dab of hot glue. My price $2.25. You can create a high end version w/an ornate double sided glass shadow box w/critter, silk ribbon for under $10. Perfect for last minute Halloween crafting and parties! xoxo
Corner of picture frame in our guest bedroom. The print is a watercolor from Prague, a cityscape scene. I was just playing around with the new camera - the blinds are usually closed to protect the print from direct sunlight.
This one I did pretty much by myself. I am pretty proud of it anyway. My first matting experience anyway! This is a wood block print.

The fireplace and fish tank frame options!!! These are touch texture change which makes life so much easier!
The thing about digital photographs is that that's how they often remain. Except for the one time of the year we actually make an effort to make prints. And then there's the scramble to find appropriate frames. And locate blank wall spots on which to display them. We make do.

Now this is my bread & butter. Red brings out green, red blanket thrown over couch, every damn light I can find pointing at the glasses from every angle. Pushed the camera into the couch so it's shooting below surface level, focused on the hinge. Added saturation after the fact but not a lot, this is very similar to how it came off the camera card. Really like this photo.
"Make a photograph of something very green. Don't settle for vaguely green. Go for saturation."

Photographers are people who use their minds, ears, eyes, and cameras to capture visual images of everyday lives. Each photographer has his or her own skills, perspectives, tastes, and knowledge of framing the world but you need to have a mind of child to fill the frames that will last decades.
336of365 ~ I stopped in on one of those house parties that offer several different vendors. I was thrilled to run across these funky, hand made classic frames. I really hate shopping for frames but mostly I hate spending money on frames I think are just so-so. I purchased the big one and will got back to get two more to complete the collage I want to hang on the wall. It's taken me almost 3 years to find something to hang but I did!
This antique shop has to be seen to be believed. It has a fascinating assortment of antiques of all kinds. It's the real McCoy.
