I drove myself crazy trying to get her to lean forward enough that her elbow rested on her thigh. I finally got my daughter to press on the back of her shoulder and cropped the human hand out of the right side of this shot.

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I've come through

Leioproctus (Andrenopsis) douglasiellus Leiproctus sp
The bees were landing, entering the flower face first, pushing under the brush, going to the base of the flower, turning around and coming out forwards.

November - Update from Terry Houston
"Having seen specimens, I can now say the bee is not L. douglasiellus but a closely related (probably undescribed) species."

PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 19, 2020) An F/A -18F Super Hornet attached to the Diamondbacks of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102 takes off from the flight deck of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). "fermarsi
togliere il peso dalle spalle
svuotare lo zaino
gettare via, gettare via
andare avanti, grazie a tutto e nonostante tutto"

"stop
remove the weight from your shoulders
and vacate your rucksack
throw away, throw away
look your present deep in its eyes and choose the right memories, the ones wich will never lose warmth, perfume, softness and light
leave some pieces of yourself on the ground, forget them intentionally so that they will be digested by the world as soon as possible
and then rise up, with the rucksack half empty on your shoulders and resume your walk
feel llike a child discovering a new world
go forward, thanks to all and in spite of all"

Went to see an old friend today who i haven't seen for getting on three years or so. They were the person who held my hand on my first tentative outings ten years ago if it wasn't for her i probably wouldn't be doing as much as i do,
We had a nice natter before i had to head to off home, looking forward to catching up with her again soon
Happy October! Sorry I havent posted in a while - been a crazy time with just life in general. Managed to grab a shot today though and looking forward to posting more regularly.
Ive been a workout kick so trying to feminize out the curves and to just generally lose more weight. So far so good I think but having to stick with it is tough
Hope all is going well for you wherever in the world you are!
The fifth USS Independence (CV-62) was an 80,000-ton (full load) conventionally-powered Forrestal-class aircraft carrier and is seen here in the Eastern Mediterranean in the summer of 1982, en route to waters near Beirut where the US Sixth Fleet supported US Marines ashore facilitating the evacuation of the Palestine Liberation Organisation following their defeat by Israel.
Launched at New York Navy Yard on 6 June 1958 and commissioned 10 January 1959, she was 326m in length with a beam of 82.3m and a draught of 11.3m. She was powered by eight Babcock & Wilcox boilers that provided 280,000 shp via four Westinghouse geared turbines to four shafts. These gave her a top speed of 34 kt.
The twin-rotor helicopter near her stern is not part of the carrier's air group. It is one of two CH-46 Sea Knights based aboard the USS Mount Baker (AE-34), from which I took this photo. Time has dimmed my memories and I cannot explain why the helo was on the deck - we normally only conducted VERTREPs with the carriers.
The large ship's number painted on the funnel is somewhat obscured by other paint jobs for some reason. See www.flickr.com/photos/67307569@N00/4890073871 for another view, from wider on the beam where the mess is clearer than above.

Tomorrow is the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. In Gothenburg sun sets at 15:24. Now it turns around and I'm looking forward to longer days.
Never let life hold you back, keep looking forward. The reflection of things in life, or our perspective of ourselves is how we can review it, judge it, change it, and make it better. I like to reflect, but I always look forward to the next adventure in life!
The last train home was aptly CSX K811 with BNSF ES44C4 #7142 and D9-44CW #5084, hauling a long string of phosphate empties to Mulberry, FL. A lot of change evident in this photo -- a new turnout waiting for installation and the quickly expiring time for the vintage ACL era searchlight signals here. And with that change comes progress, as is usually how I like to leave Spring Break outings on... a look forward to the future.
I haven't been able to go out with my camera lately due to a sick cat I've been nursing, so I've been going through old memory cards finding things that I didn't process before.
Having a blue period it seems . Must be the BOY screaming to come. No chance of that ha ha ha . He is locked away and the key is nowhere to be seen.
Anyway enough of that silliness. Here i am looking forward to wearing the lovely dress thats hanging on the wall,
Well you know what it looks like on, have to say it doesn't look so great on the hanger,

As the new year quickly approaches it's time to move forward and not get caught up in the cobwebs like this weathervane that may hold us back.
Wishing everyone a safe and Happy New Year full of joy and happiness with family, friends and loved ones.
May flickr be on it's best behavior so that we see fewer bad pandas. Let the good times roll, and should tough times show up may there be someone to get your back. And when your GPS says that dreaded Recalculating may it come back with the best route to your destination.
