how did she did that? she zoomed in, she zoomed out, she resolved it. she stayed with the focus
and again she flowed, but in her flow, she never judged but only stayed rooted with faith and love.

55004 "Queens Own Highlander" waits at York to take 1S27 0736 Plymouth to Edinburgh forward on 24th October 1981.
This train seemed to be a regular for a Deltic north of York.
This was in the final 2 months of operation for the remaining locos and they attracted a lot of attention.
The old Flickr has mysteriously reappeared on my iPad. Also on my iMac I am now running two browsers - Safari for everyday use, and Firefox with the special hack on it to use Flickr as it was before. So fairly happy at the moment. :-)

After bringing a grain train into the Port of Montreal, CN 878's light power is heading back to the mainline long hood forward.
CN 527, a local transfer in Montreal that goes from Southwark Yard to Taschereau Yard and back has CN 2599 (fresh from Canadian Allied Diesel) running long hood forward, with four more units and a repainted GO Transit coach behind it (CN 2317, CN 8811, CN 4719, CN 7277 & GOT 2431). CN 527 has been running with as many as 150 cars as of late, though presumably only 2-3 of the units were online.

Abandoned UP bridge across the North Branch of the Chicago River. Formerly used for rail traffic that went under the Merchandise Mart, Marina Towers etc, eventually to Navy Pier

The last shot in my photostream was of my friend, Viv, when she was only about 15 or 16 years old. Fast forward to the present, and this is her now!
This shot was taken recently when her husband, Fran, (who probably took the photo,) and she were vacationing on Florida's west coast, by the Gulf of Mexico. Viv is just a few months older than I, and still looking great after 47 or 48 years! The smile is just as big as ever. I did a bit of retouching on the smile lines on her face, and took a couple of years of age off, but other than that and a little cropping and brightening, not much was done to the shot. I absolutely love it! Viv is still photographic after all these years.
