Lake Awoonga was formed on the Boyne River by the dam located 30 km (19 mi) from Gladstone, in Central Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 30 minutes drive from Gladstone, via Benaraby.
Lake Awoonga is the main water supply for the Gladstone region.[1] Its recreation areas and recreational fishery are provided free to locals and tourists by the Gladstone Area Water BoardOriginally built across the Boyne River south west of Gladstone in the early 1950s as a 12m high mass concrete dam, it was raised by 6m shortly after. In the 1980s it was raised again, now as a rockfill structure with a concrete upstream face slab to a full supply level of 30m AHD. The dam was raised for a third time in 2002 to its current full supply level of 40m AHD. The embankment was formed from rock excavated from a quarry on the side of the dam wall. The embankment is over 650 metres (2,130 feet) in length and 54.4 metres (178 feet) in height, with a volume of approximately 2,000,000 cubic metres (71,000,000 cubic feet) of rock. This design of the current dam allows for further raising, if necessary, through the addition of gates to the top of the spillway. The maximum capacity of the present dam is 777,000 megalitres (2.05×1011 US gallons). The second raising of the dam was built by Thiess Brothers and was completed in March 1985.
The dam reached its lowest level of 7.44% capacity in February 2003, and its highest recorded level of 192.9% (8.3m over the spillway) in January 2013 as a result of heavy rain from ex Tropical Cyclone Oswald. The dam continued spilling from January 25th until early May.
When full the lake is 40 m (111 feet) above sea level. Approximately 200,000 fish are released each year including barramundi and some mangrove jack. By early 2006 a total of over 2.9 million fish had been released into Lake Awoonga including 2.4 million barramundii, 470,000 sea mullet and 15,000 mangrove jack. These fish were bred at Gladstone Area Water Board's Fish Hatchery facility. The largest barramundi caught, as at November 2008, weighed in at a 36.5 kg (80.5 lbs).[5] Lake Awoonga is one of the only dams in Australia to have been stocked with mangrove jack.[
•What are the elements and principles used?
The elements used in this photograph are colour, form, and shape. Colour is evident as shown through the various colours the paper stars are, from pink, blue, yellow, orange, green, and red, this image displays multiple colours. Form and shape is found in the shape and “structure” of the stars. As the stars were falling at different angles, different perspectives of the star were captured. Therefore, this accentuated the form and shape of the stars. The principles used are movement, harmony and unity, proportion, and repetition. Movement is found in the direction from which the stars were falling. Although they were falling out of the hand, the stars in this photograph make it appear to be gravitating towards the hand, therefore showing movement. Harmony and unity is shown through the number of stars. All the various stars in this picture work together to accentuate other elements and principles of design, such as movement and repetition. Each star in this picture affects the picture in some way or another through how they contribute to movement or to give colour to the image. Proportion is shown through the contrast of the hand compared to the size of the stars, and finally repetition is most prominently displayed through the abundant amount of stars.
•How did you take the photograph?
I took this photograph by setting it on a table and not a tripod. I then set it on a high shutter speed of 1/1000. This was so to correspond with the requirement of a high shutter speed in order to capture a frozen motion. I then focused my hand, a distance from the camera from where I was going to drop the stars, then I released the stars.
•What difficulties did you encounter?
Some difficulties that I had encountered while taking this photograph, was getting the photograph to be in focus, and getting the stars to fall in a way that would capture the example of freeze motion. At first, the photographs wouldn’t come out in focus and were often blurry. However I learnt that I should focus the object (in this case, my hand) in a distance from the camera where I would drop them. This made my pictures become more in focus. Secondly, there was difficulty in getting the stars to fall in a way that would be appealing. Eventually, I realized I had to release the stars more slowly in order to obtain the stars suspended in different heights.
•Why is this best example?
I feel that this is the best example as it shows different heights of the falling stars, emphasizing further the fact that this photo was taken for the purposes of showing a moment in time. Additionally, this photo demonstrates several elements and principles such as colour, movement, repetition, and harmony.
•Why is this your best example of motion?
I feel that this is my best example of motion as it shows the type of motion photography I was trying to achieve the best. The picture has a definite focal point (the hand) and also has many different elements and principles used, far more than the other images. Also, I feel that this picture is more visually appealing and interesting to a viewer due to the abundance of stars that make the viewer look at all the different angles. This also adds to the complexity of the image making it more captivating and overall more attractive.
•How did your editing enhance the image?
The editing that was done enhances the image by making it brighter. This was done as so to make the image look less dull, compared to how it appeared before. This therefore changed the mood, and atmosphere of the picture by making it seem much lighter and more cheerful. Making this image brighter also helped bring out the vibrant colours of the stars even further adding to the general effect of the photograph. Also, my editing also helped removed an amputation in the corner of the photo, making it appear less distracting to the viewer.

I took the picture of a seed on the ground in the afternoon. I was using Av mode on my camera, f/5.6, 1/15, ISO 100, 47mm. The holes on the leaf have no depth, so I categorized this leaf as one of a shape from elements of Earth.

Exposición " La Función de la Formar" para Quito Design Week de la carrera de Diseño Industrial.

Weniger als 100 Menschen aus der Anhängerschaft der selbst ernannten Querfront-Friedenspartei: "Aufbruch Frieden" rund um die Putin-Aktivistin Elena Kolbasnikova (Köln) aus dem überwiegend russisch-rechtsextremen Spektrum demonstrierten am 9. September 2023 gegen die NATO und gegen Rüstungsexporte. "Raus aus der NATO", lautete das Motto der Versammlung vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin-Mitte, bei der eine kümmerliche Anzahl von Menschen zusammen gekommen waren; unter diesen auch mindestens ein aktives Mitglied der FRIKO Berlin (Friedenskoordination Berlin/Ostermarsch) gesichtet wurde.
Neben russischen und Reichsbürger-Flaggen sowie Fahnen der rechtsextremen "Freien Sachsen" wehten an diesem Tag auch umgedrehte Deutschlandflaggen. Sie sind ein gern verwendetes Symbol und Code von Reichsbürgern, die den demokratischen Staat Deutschland ablehnen.
Hintergrund zu "Aufbruch Frieden" und ihrer Akteure
Die Organisatoren sind in der Vergangenheit bereits mehrfach mit ähnlichen Veranstaltungen im Rheinland und an der US-Airbase Ramstein aufgefallen. Ihre Agitation richtet sich gegen den Westen allgemein, gegen die NATO, "seit neustem" auch gegen Israel und gegen die Bundesregierung, während Putin gelobt und seine Kriegspropaganda in aller Form verbreitet wird.
Der Veranstalterkreis gründete am 6. Mai 2023 in Leverkusen den Verein "Aufbruch Frieden-Souveränität-Gerechtigkeit". Als Sitz wurde damals Stößen, Gut Nöbeditz 1 in Sachsen-Anhalt benannt; "vertreten durch die Vorsitzenden: Elena Kolbasnikova und André Poggenburg" (Stand Juni 2023 laut Webarchive).
Gut Nöbeditz 1 ist die Immobilie von Poggenburg, ehemaliger Partei- und Landtagsfraktionsvorsitzende der AfD in Sachsen-Anhalt. Auf seinem Gut finden auch regelmäßig rechte und rechtsextreme Veranstaltungen statt. Auf dem Aufnahmeantrag von "Aufbruch Frieden" ist z.B. bis heute die Adresse von Poggenburg´s Gutshaus geführt.
Im Grundsatzprogramm von "Aufbruch Frieden" fordern diese nicht nur einen Austritt aus der NATO, sondern auch einen Austritt aus der Europäischen Union.
Dem Vorstand gehörten im Frühjahr 2023 der Ex-AfD-Politiker André Poggenburg (Stößen), die Putin-Aktivistin Elena (Olena) Kolbasnikova (Köln) und der ehemalige "Pro NRW"-Funktionär Markus Beisicht (Leverkusen) an, der Kolbasnikova auch als Anwalt vertritt.
Weiter sind bei "Aufbruch Frieden" vertreten: der Ehemann von Kolbasnikova: Max Schlund (Rostislav Teslyuk) und seinerzeit auch Wjatscheslaw Seewald sowie der kürzlich bei einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommene ehemalige AfD-Mann Eugen Walter und der aus Serbien stammende Jovica Jovic. Als Schatzmeister fungiert der ehemalige Linksterrorist der "Antiimperialistischen Zellen" (AiZ) und heutige Islamist: Bernhard Falk.
Jovic ist laut "Endstation Rechts" ein extremer NATO-Gegner und betreibt laut t-Online den Kanal "TV Russia".
Seewald wurde in der bayerischen „Verfassungsschutzinformation“ für das erste Halbjahr 2022 als „Reichsbürger und antisemitischer Verschwörungstheoretiker“ bezeichnet. Dieser hatte 2014 die Inbetriebnahme des russisch-kontrollierten Staatssenders RT Deutsch mit einer von ihm ins Leben gerufenen Petition erfolgreich unterstützt.
Über Kolbasnikova und Schlund (ursprünglich Rostislav Teslyuk) haben die Medien aufgedeckt, dass sie Propagandisten Putins sind und die russischen Truppen in der Ukraine unterstützt haben sollen.
Bereits ab Mai 2022 hatte das Putin-Fangirl eine Pro-Kreml-Demo in Köln organisiert. Dabei gab sie der BILD-Zeitung ein Interview, in dem sie den Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine verteidigte. Ihre Aussagen sah die Staatsanwaltschaft als Billigung von Straftaten und klagte sie an. Im Juni 2023 verurteilte das Amtsgericht Köln Kolbasnikova in erster Instanz wegen Billigung des russischen Angriffskrieges gegen die Ukraine zu einer Geldstrafe. Dagegen ging sie in Berufung. Doch bevor der Berufungs-Prozess gegen Kolbasnikova losging, gerieten ihre Unterstützer mit Gegendemonstranten vor dem Gerichtsgebäude aneinander. Wie bereits bei dem ersten Verfahren gegen die Putin-Unterstützerin schlug ihr Mann Max Schlund mit der Faust auf einen Kontrahenten ein. Gegen ihn wurde deswegen Anzeige erstattet.
Gegen Kolbasnikova wurde parallel eine Anklage wegen des Verstoßes gegen das Außenwirtschaftsgesetz und Verstoßes gegen das Waffengesetz erhoben. Bei einer Razzia wurde eine nicht mehr funktionsfähige Kalaschnikov bei ihr gefunden.
2023 trug sie einen Davidstern in den Farben der russischen Flagge und verglich ihre Situation mit der Nazizeit. Deswegen wird sie nun noch zusätzlich wegen Volksverhetzung angeklagt.
Weiter wurde bekannt, das Kolbasnikova sowie ihr Partner Schlund Anfang 2024 an einem Treffen mit Kriegsaktivisten sowie mit Wladimir Putin in der westrussischen Stadt Tula teilgenommen haben. Im Herbst 2023 hatte laut t-online Putin der aus der Ukraine stammenden Frau per Dekret die russische Staatsbürgerschaft verliehen.
Kolbasnikowas Mann, Max Schlund, ist russischer Ex-Soldat. Er änderte in Deutschland seinen Namen und unterstützt Kolbasnikova bei ihren Aktivitäten.
Falk war Mitglied der linksextremistischen Terrorgruppe „Antiimperialistische Zellen“ (AIZ). Nach mehreren Anschlägen Anfang der 1990er Jahre wurden er und ein Mitstreiter vom Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf zu hohen Haftstrafen verurteilt. Er konvertierte zum Islam und wurde 2008 aus der Gefängnis entlassen. Danach war er in der salafistischen Szene aktiv und betrieb „Gefangenenhilfe“ für terrorverdächtige und angeklagte Islamisten. 2015 nannte die „Welt“ Falk einen „Al-Qaida-Anhänger“.
Falk ist seit vielen Jahren ein gern gesehener Gast rund um die "stasinahe" Vereinigung OKV (Ostdeutsches Kuratorium von Verbänden) und meist jährlich auf dem Pressefest der kommunistischen und putinhörigen Partei: DKP vorzufinden.
Im Jahr 2016 beteiligte er sich mit dem OKV-Mitglied: "Unentdecktes Land" bei einem Protest gegen das Gedenken der Mauertoten der DDR am Brandenburger Tor.
Seit dem russischen Überfall auf die Gesamtukraine im Februar 2022 unterstützt Falk den russischen Angriff und sprach von einer „Aggression der von der NATO hochgerüsteten westlichen Kräfte“. Den ukrainischen Präsidenten Wolodymyr Selenskyj bezeichnete er auf Twitter als „>Präsident< der NATO/EU-Marionettenregierung […]; jüdischer Herkunft und enger Verbündeter der Zionisten !!!“
Poggenburg, einst aus dem extrem völkischen Lager der AfD, äußerte sich laut watson.de nur ein paar Monate zuvor "kriegerisch" bei einer Kundgebung in Gera. Der ehemalige AfD-Politiker verkündete Anfang des Jahres "Krieg gegen die deutsche Regierung" zu führen – falls es zu einer militärischen Auseinandersetzung mit Russland komme. Er richtete seine Worte an die Grünen-Politikerin Annalena Baerbock: "Sollte es so weit kommen, dass deutsche Bürger Krieg führen müssen, dann werden wir mit der Waffe in der Hand den Krieg gegen Sie und Ihre Polit-Kartell-Parteien führen", so Poggenburg.
Auch der ehemalige NPD-Kader Karl Richter aus München war am 9. September 2023 anwesend und hielt dort neben Poggenburg, Falk, Beisicht, Jovic und Kolbasnikova eine Rede. Er lief kurze Zeit später am Frontbanner von "Aufbruch Frieden" mit.
Vereinzelt kam es zu kleinen Gegenprotesten, bei dem u.a. ein pro-ukrainischer Aktivist flaggeführend Stellung bezog sowie ein Antifaschist zugegen war, der sich diesem russisch-rechtsextremen Milieu entgegen stellte.

L'artista, performer e studentessa RUFA Emma Brunelli è la vincitrice della sesta edizione del RUFA Contest: OH MY EARTH!
Il RUFA Contest riprende il suo corso. Dopo la forzata interruzione dell’edizione 2020 dovuta al forte impatto dell’emergenza sanitaria su tutta l’industria creativa, ritorna il desiderio di portare a termine un percorso importante per la nostra Accademia, all’insegna dell’ingegno e dell’espressione creativa.
Il tema OH MY EARTH intende esprimere un ritorno alle origini. «Abbiamo tutti – spiega Emanuele Cappelli, Direttore Artistico del Contest – la stessa Madre: umani, animali, vegetali. Siamo materia viva di un unico ecosistema, la Terra, suprema fonte della nostra evoluzione.
La storia dell’uomo, la sua ricerca, si sono da sempre animate dentro questo sistema completo, organico, perfetto, ma nel suo principio cardine estremamente semplice. Un sistema del quale siamo anello di passaggio verso il futuro. La natura, suprema ispirazione per arte e ingegneria, ci ha fatto desiderare la sua emulazione e così, guidati dalle nostre emozioni e stati d’animo, abbiamo riprodotto forme, colori, filmati, scritto parole, evocato suoni. Ma se da una parte l’opera o il progetto cercano di replicare ciò che già esiste, dall’altra sono una testimonianza irrinunciabile che proietta gli umani verso la comprensione e perciò, l’evoluzione. La formazione accademica intende fornire una risposta per essere parte attiva del tema universale della Madre Terra. Una risposta/progetto potente come un’aurora boreale o leggera come un battito d’ali di una farfalla.”

Ao longo de 30 anos de ofício, passou por diversos setores na PMDF, atuando como juíza na Auditoria Militar, diretora de Pessoal Militar, chefe do Estado-Maior e subcomandante-geral até chegar ao posto mais alto.

BAM (Beaux-Arts Mons)
Pour la premiere fois en Belgique, dans le cadre de la Biennale d'Art et de Culture de la Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles a Mons, le BAM consacre au peintre et sculpteur colombien Fernando Botero une vaste retrospective du 9 octobre 2021 au 30 janvier 2022.
Depuis ses recherches de jeunesse, peu connues du grand public, jusqu'aux oeuvres iconiques de la maturite, dont des toiles recentes presentees pour la premiere fois, cette exposition d'envergure brassera l'ensemble de la carriere de l'artiste.
Reputee pour ses personnages aux formes rondes et voluptueuses, l'oeuvre de Botero est le resultat d'une recherche exigeante et determinee, dans lequel l'artiste s'est engage il y a plus de 70 ans.
A l'heure ou, plus que jamais, le sens commun est en peril, l'exposition interroge la maniere dont une oeuvre, bien que personnelle et situee, parvient a developper un langage universel et accessible. Le parcours emportera les visiteurs dans l'univers foisonnant de Botero, inspire tant par l'art precolombien et l'iconographie populaire que par les muralistes mexicains ou l'art de la Renaissance italienne.
L'exposition Fernando Botero. Au-dela des formes rassemblera des oeuvres importantes empruntees a de prestigieux musees, comme le Gunggenheim de New-York, dont des peintures historiques rarement montrees au public europeen. Des toiles, dessins et sculptures appartenant a des collections privees internationales, notamment de Colombie, seront egalement presents.
Au centre du parcours d'exposition, une quinzaine d'oeuvres issues des collections meconnues du BAM illustreront les inspirations majeures de l'artiste colombien autour de differentes thematiques : natures mortes, nus, scenes de genre...

Pink lacks a specific electromagnetic wavelength, while grey poses a limitation due to its representation of only intensity—a blend of light and dark without spectral specificity. Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.
Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.
Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.

This is a shop that went out of business, and here we can see massive amounts of posters stuck on the metal shutters, completely covering it. Most of the posters are from real estate agencies (for information about renting the store), and some of the posters are for upcoming nightclub events. The metal shutters acts as a plane for communication.
