These gates once formed part of the Liverpool Sailors' Home. The building stood roughly where the John Lewis now stands. It was demolished sometime ago and the gates were re-erected here.
Went out for a 3 hour walk around Langstone Harbour in a bit of a blizzard. Arrived home, wet through, legs aching, but warm and invigorated.

I took the picture of a seed on the ground in the afternoon. I was using Av mode on my camera, f/5.6, 1/15, ISO 100, 47mm. The holes on the leaf have no depth, so I categorized this leaf as one of a shape from elements of Earth.
La basilique et sanctuaire royal de la SantÃsima Virgen de la Cabeza est un sanctuaire situé dans le parc naturel de la Sierra de Andújar. Le sanctuaire a été construit entre 1287 et 1304 sur la colline de La Cabeza, et a été réformé à la fin du xvie siècle. Depuis 1930, les Trinitaires vénèrent dans le Sanctuaire et entretiennent la dévotion à la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie tout au long de l'année , qui accompagne également l'image de la Vierge lors de la procession sur les routes du pèlerinage en avril. Il est de tradition que deux religieux de cet ordre, montés sur la litière, à côté de l'image vénérée de la Virgen de la Cabeza, rapprochent d'elle des objets et des enfants afin qu'ils reçoivent sa bénédiction et sa protection.
