Developing the mesh 'molds' for an ambitious building replacement. I haven't plonked any money down except for textures, which are from Kevin 'Rorshach' Johnstone's Ivory tex set (the banners, window surrounds, and ledge trim), and Iikka 'Fingers' Keränen's IK2K ones (grey stone, roofing). Even if I finish this by half past too late, I'll have learned me some Mesh Studio.
I won't pay for the parcel until I know this is going to work.

Form my weekend trip to Helsinki, Finland. uomenlinna, until 1918 Viapori (Finnish), or Sveaborg (Swedish), is an inhabited sea fortress built on six islands (Kustaanmiekka, Susisaari, Iso-Mustasaari, Pikku-Mustasaari, Länsi-Mustasaari and Långören), and which now forms part of the city of Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage site and popular with both tourists and locals, who enjoy it as a picturesque picnic site. Originally named Sveaborg (Fortress of Svea), or Viapori as called by Finns, it was renamed Suomenlinna (Castle of Finland) in 1918 for patriotic and nationalistic reasons, though it is still also sometimes known by its original name. In Swedish-speaking contexts, the name Sveaborg is usually used.[1]
The Swedish crown commenced the construction of the fortress in 1748 as protection against Russian expansionism. The general responsibility for the fortification work was given to Augustin Ehrensvärd. The original plan of the bastion fortress was strongly influenced by the ideas of Vauban, the foremost military engineer of the time, and the principles of Star Fort style of fortification, albeit adapted to a group of rocky islands.
In addition to the island fortress itself, seafacing fortifications on the mainland would ensure that an enemy would not acquire a beach-head from which to stage attacks. The plan was also to stock munitions for the whole Finnish contingent of the Swedish Army and Royal Swedish Navy there. In the Finnish War the fortress surrendered to Russia on May 3, 1808, paving the way for the occupation of Finland by Russian forces in 1809.

This is the base of the form and will hold all the truncated hexagonal pyramids. Notice the holes letting the light through. These are where the honeycomb hexagons will be attached.
Here is my attempt to unite art: the red gate at the entrance to the Japanese garden in Westfalenpark united with the ‘horizontal form’.
I can only bear the world situation after the attack by the USA and Israel on Iran by distracting myself with something beautiful.
In the words of Brecht: ‘What kind of times are these, when talking about trees is almost a crime because it implies silence about so many atrocities?’
(gutezitate.com/zitat/101128).
Or: Anyone who doesn't become depressed in times like these has no heart.
Shapped into a somewhat bowly bottom shape, at the same time, the walls are brought out the same distance. If everything was still centered up to this point, it's not too bad a step, the hard part is getting a bottom the shape you want. Of course there is room in this step for things to go off center.

I went to Yarner Wood knowing that the Pied Flycatchers were there. I also knew of the Wood Warblers but had no expectation of seeing them because they seem to spend all their time singing in the tree canopy. This one hopped on to a sapling in front of me then disappeared before I could even pick it up on camera. I waited and sure enough the song started; ti ti ti ti ti tik tik trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Then it moves. Another burst of song. Another move, Another burst........ Finally I saw the movement and about three song bursts later and having to use manual focus I got these. Not the highest quality but really satisfying. Photographing Swifts the day before was easier than this!

Formed back in 1997 with an idea to mix progressive rock, doom metal and 70’s-inspired psychedelic rock. SUBTERRANEAN MASQUERADE creates music with that edge of extreme metal and the loose atmosphere of Pink Floyd and Iron butterfly. While admittedly not such a pioneering idea on its own, the vision of freeing metal music from genre boundaries, wrapped by grand production is what often make the band’s music sound like a carnival of different colors and scents… a masquerade!
SUBTERRANEAN MASQUERADE’s music first came into the world back in 2000 with a cover version of Peter Murphy’s classic “Cut’s you up”. The cover, released as part of an 80’s metal cover compilation album, was recorded with guest appearances by Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates, Kobi Farhi of Orphaned Land and produced by Dori Bar Or from Eternal Gray.
