Su nido tiene forma de horno y entrada lateral. Está construido de varios materiales vegetales y forrado con una capa gruesa de fibras liberianas desmenuzadas. Se oculta bien adentro de la hojarasca, sobre un suelo plano u ondulado, cerca o entre rocas o troncos caídos, y en ocasiones entre un nicho en un barranco alto.
Ponen de 2 a 3 huevos blancos con finas salpicaduras color canela. Se reproducen de abril a julio.

En el interior y borde del bosque seco, en otros tipos de bosque prefiere las arboledas no muy densas, cafetales, bosques secundarios avanzados y cercas vivas.
Distribución
Es una especie residente común a lo largo de las bajuras del norte del Pacífico; se extiende hacia el sur aproximadamente hasta Tivives y Orotina. Asciende hasta los 1200 m. o más en las laderas de las cordilleras del norte, y en forma local hasta los 2000 m. en el Valle Central y la región de Dota. Hacia el este se extiende más allá de Paraíso en las montañas centrales. Se localiza entre los 600 y los 1500 m. de altura en la región de Térraba-Coto Brus.
Distribución fuera de Costa Rica
Se encuentra desde el noroeste de México (es casual al sur de Arizona y Texas) hasta el noroeste de Venezuela.

Mide 12.5 cm. y pesa 11.5 grs. Es más grande que la mayoría de las reinitas migratorias con forma diferente; el pico es más grueso, las patas y el cuerpo son más robustos; ninguna otra reinita de pecho amarillo tiene la mayor parte de la cabeza rufa.
Los adultos muestran el píleo y los auriculares rufo castaño, y las áreas loreal y orbital negras. Las cejas, la mancha debajo del ojo y la barbilla son blancas. Los lados y la parte posterior del cuello son grisáceos, y el resto de la parte superior es verde oliva. Por debajo son amarillo brillante, con un tinte oliva en el costado y los flancos. El pico es negro y las patas son color cuerno cafeteado.
Los ejemplares juveniles muestran la parte superior, incluso el píleo y los lados de la cabeza, de color café opaco con flecos fuliginosos. Las cejas son oliva anteado e indistintas. Las 2 barras alares son ante canela, y la garganta y el pecho son ante oliva, teñidos con amarillo que se desvanece a amarillento pálido en el pecho y el abdomen.

The Pakefield War Memorial is to be found outside All Saints & St Margaret Church, Causeway, Pakefield, Suffolk. It takes the form of a celtic cross on a sloping plinth with a single step base. It was built by Mr James E Proudfoot and dedicated by the Dean of Norwich 5th May 1921. There are 40 names listed for World War One only. The names are split by Navy and Army and there are 40 names listed.

Two forms of Vaccinium globulare grow in the understory of Deep Creek coniferous forest (mostly Pinus contorta, lodgepole pine). The red-fruited form and light brown stems that seemingly regenerate from near ground level each year and the leaves are light green in color. The purple-fruited form has darker and more woody stems making up much of the above ground stature and the leaves are darker or grayer green in color. The two colored berries each have a distinct flavor.

Ler e Formar Leitores no século XXI – leitura e inclusão foi o tema do II Encontro de Bibliotecas Escolares do Alentejo, que decorreu, durante os dias 3 e 4 de julho, no auditório dos Serviços Comuns do Instituto Politécnico de Beja.
Este evento contou com a organização da Coordenação Interconcelhia da Rede de Bibliotecas Escolares, do Instituto Politécnico de Beja e da Câmara Municipal de Beja - Biblioteca Municipal de Beja José Saramago. Teve por objetivos analisar o contributo das bibliotecas e da formação leitora para o exercício de uma cidadania mais consciente, crítica e responsável, assim como evidenciar o papel educativo e formativo das bibliotecas e da leitura no contexto da organização, estratégias e objetivos curriculares das escolas e da melhoria das aprendizagens. Pretendeu igualmente refletir sobre as problemáticas associadas à função e responsabilidade social das bibliotecas, enquanto fatores de inclusão, igualdade e justiça social, além de perspetivar possibilidades e vias de desenvolvimento das bibliotecas e das políticas de leitura no sentido da sua atualização e adaptação aos desafios e exigências do presente.

Within the newly restored gallery, with its three circular skylights, Kapoor’s sculptures challenge our traditional notion of form and space by disorientating the viewer and transforming their surroundings.
These sculptures echo Soane’s complex use of mirrors and light and will enable visitors to Pitzhanger to see Soane’s architecture from a fresh perspective.

Pitzhanger Manor was bought by Sir John Soane (1753-1837) in 1800. He demolished most of George Dance's building but retained the southern extension, replacing the main block with one of his own design. In the same year Soane employed John Haverfield to produce new designs for the grounds which were delivered by September 1800 (guidebook). The new mansion was used to display Soane's art collection and for entertaining, his Lincoln's Inn house being retained as the family residence. By 1809 Soane was only occasionally at Pitzhanger and in June of that year he instructed James Christie to sell the house and the estate. Once again the property passed through a series of owners until, in 1843, it was sold to the politician Spencer Walpole and became the home of his four unmarried sisters-in-law, the daughters of the Rt Hon Spencer Perceval. Prior to the death aged ninety-five of the last-surviving Perceval sister, Frederika, in May 1900, her nephew, Sir Spencer Walpole, had begun negotiations with Ealing District Council for the sale of the house and the estate. The sale negotiations were completed early in January 1900 and, following Miss Perceval's death, alterations were carried out. The then Borough Surveyor, Charles Jones, was responsible for the designs for the alterations to the house and grounds and in April 1902 the building was opened as a public library. At the time of the sale, the property was variously referred to as Manor House Park (Middlesex County Times, 19 May 1900) and Perceval Park (Middlesex County Times, 28 July 1900). The name Walpole Park was adopted after communications between the last owner and Ealing Borough Council towards the end of 1900.
Further major alterations to the library building were completed by 1940 and then, in 1984, the Central Library was moved to new premises in Ealing. The following year a continuing programme of restoration and repair to both the mansion and the grounds began. The restored manor house was reopened as a museum and centre for cultural events in the late 1990s. The grounds continue (2000) in the ownership of the London Borough of Ealing.

Glacially-formed Pothole on Pothole Dome. These bowl-shaped features were carved into the granite of Pothole Dome when it was covered by glaciers during the Tioga Stage about 20,000 years ago. The granite was scoured by streams flowing in tunnels beneath the ice. Rocks caught in vortex in such a stream were whirled about, drilling these holes into the granite. Tuolumne Meadows area.
