It was an adrenaline-fueled ride that ended up with Mike bunkering down under a highway bridge and Matt chancing it by going a few extra miles to make it to a Mexican restaurant.

A few minutes before the gates opened, the skies opened up. A 10% chance of rain all day, indeed. Thankfully, it didn't last very long.

Serene view today, but in 1757, the French Fort Ticonderoga was on the lake about 50 miles away. This was the heart of the French Indian War and this vew would have been forboding back then.

I love the Haunted Mansion. It's probably the biggest reason I love Disneyland so much. I played around with some of the settings on my new camera and managed some decent shots (no flash, of course) inside the ride. I can't wait to see what I can get once I get a faster, low light lens to replace the kit lens.

The Strozzi Palace is a formidable looking building and this doorway seems to reflect that. I like the patterns of stonework and rivets in the door with the dark and forboding shadow.

The 8th hole at the PG Golf Course is a Par 3 and requires a tee shot over a pond edged with tullies and, at certain times of the year, wild lilies. In the early February morning that I took this photo, the pond's water appeared dark and forboding, providing a stark contrast to the lily blossoms at the pond's edge. As I was in Walkabout mode at that time, I knelt and snapped the image.
