Yeah, it wasn't very forboding. You'd think in a city known for it's mighty walls they would've pulled out a few more stops ;)

I took this in putney woods. This is one of my favourite photos because the man in the distance looks like he is being spied on by the man in the forground with the camera. It looks forboding and mysterious, I helped this by changing the photo into black and white and making the contrast darker.
Apologies to my friends in the Czech Republic for not having the tools to add the properly accented letters to the title and tags.
Same wall with different group of people. Read what was is written on the wall......a [forboding] warning! (Sorry wish I have a dictionary right now) I'll correct the spelling later .....
My cat, Zoe at the top of the stairs. She looked only slightly forboding when I snapped this photo, so I played that up with some PhotoForge vignetting and texturization, then added some grunge with TtV Photo Studio.
I think this ended up looking a bit more forboding than I intended, the light was just strange that day.

We visited Seacliff on a beautiful (and very cold) March day. The path down to the beach runs along the lower part of this cliff, through the trees. The ruins look quite forboding in these pictures, but in person they seemed more romantically tragic; forgotten ruins perched high above the beach.

One of Van Goghs last paintings although commonly mistaken to be his last, as it is portrayed as such in various films. The dark sky forbodes of a coming darkness as Vincent shoots himself later in the month in these very fields, dying from his wound two days later on July 29th,1890.
. . . headed our way.
Supposed to clear up for a couple of days, now, though-- and then more storms just in time for the 4th of July. ;o)
I came home feeling really icky tonight. Not sure what is was...almost a forboding feeling...of what, I don't know. Or perhaps the leftovers I was eating had gone bad.
Either way, I slept for most of the evening, waking up to find myself drooling, and the time shown on my clock quickly approaching midnight.
I set up my camera on a tripod, attached the speedlight, and let my dancing turtle (everyone should have at least one) do his thing. Feeling quite heavy and fatigued, I let this traditionally-slow creature be dynamic for me.
And for a brief moment, I smiled, right before the nausea set in again.
Most of the Christmas decorations in our city look all right, but this one always looks kinda... forboding. Like it wishes something was impaled on it that wasn't baubles *rocks back and forth muttering things under her breath, eyes darting left and right*

As we became closer to the falls, we could see the other boats making their way into the rough water and hear screams of excitement. The sound of millions of pounds of water moving at a tremendous velocity was deafening. What began as fun was becoming forboding as we came closer to the heart of the falls.

Some of the Astroland rides have already been shut down and caged up with forboding barbed wire and fencing. Why they put attack dogs in the remains of a kid's park is beyond me, however.

Occasionally I go back and revisit images after I've learned something new or just have a different perspective. In the original color version, this image doesn't evoke alot of emotion for me. It's beautiful, and awe-inspiring, but mostly it's just there.
This B&W conversion, though, does something for me. It takes the emphasis off of the grandeur of the scene and places it on the motion and texture of the rock, which is far more sinister and forboding to me. So here it is.
I also can't help but be reminded of a still from an old B&W film, but I'm not sure why.
