From July 6, 2002: There are many tunnels in and around Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. As far as I know, this, the Armstrong Tunnel in downtown Pittsburgh, is the only one that curves. This tunnel has been the site of many odd and unseemly events, and whenever I approach this curve, I always get a sense of forboding, never knowing what's lurking around the bend.

A zeppelin lighter... seems a little forboding

This forboding fellow adorns the doorway to a home in Fitler Square. I'm always on the lookout for gargoyles, so a griffin is the next best thing.

Waiting for a bus across the street from Target in Somerville. Not the friendliest place for a bus stop - it requires crossing several lanes of unchecked traffic and waiting in a fairly deserted area. At least it has a well-lit shelter (though the area around the shelter is dark and forboding).
