Some of the Astroland rides have already been shut down and caged up with forboding barbed wire and fencing. Why they put attack dogs in the remains of a kid's park is beyond me, however.

Occasionally I go back and revisit images after I've learned something new or just have a different perspective. In the original color version, this image doesn't evoke alot of emotion for me. It's beautiful, and awe-inspiring, but mostly it's just there.
This B&W conversion, though, does something for me. It takes the emphasis off of the grandeur of the scene and places it on the motion and texture of the rock, which is far more sinister and forboding to me. So here it is.
I also can't help but be reminded of a still from an old B&W film, but I'm not sure why.
This sun was setting in what looked like the eye of a storm. The sky directly above looked dark and forboding as the wind howled; it nearly knocked me over.
I loved the inticate detailed architecture. But with the paint all worn off and the almost Gothic style, it was rather forboding for a chuch.

As the light was extingushed above the street strange lights and apparitions were appearing and then vanishing, leaving eerie light trails burned into my retinas, and my sense of forboding increased by the minute...
This is the back of the stands at the Rockingham racetrack. It's also probably the first place the skies will go dark when the Hellgate opens - it's both incredibly forboding and very handy for Corby town centre.
Lyme Regis. Flat light but plenty of seagulls about. Would certainly revisit. This was out of season though. Bet the light is great here in Jan - March. In peak it must be rammed. Must post a land based pic so you see what I mean.
