The fraying edge of the butterfly's wing matches nicely with the slope of the hillside in Mont-St.-Pierre, Quebec.

I find myself liking this one, even with all the reflections. I think it gives an illusion of fluttering.

Another simple collage/montage created for the Never Professional challenge - Create a Montage. You may recognize it as a different take on one of my earlier smoke shots.

My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance
And don't ever look back
Don't ever look back

Butterfly, another pollinator, it is not just bees.
A lovely name in many languages: papillon from French, Schmetterling from German, titli from Hindi, farfalla in Italian, mariposa from Spanish, borboleta from Portuguese, sommerfugl (Danish), babochka (Russian), petalouda (Greek) and vlinder from Dutch.
Butterflies are insects from the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths.
Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight.
Have a super day, I know I will, and thanks for your comments, M, (*_*)

As you can probably tell by the fact she has a kingfisher nestled on her shoulder and two lovely little hummingbirds racing to taste the nectar of the blossoming lily she's leaning in to sniff this lady is at one with nature. She has communed with her environment and found that she is now so in tune with her biorhythms and the natural cycle of life that she can talk with the animals just like Dr Doolittle. I'm only joking. She took some pretty strong acid about an hour ago and now thinks exclusively in smells and colours and can, as far as she's concerned, converse with the imaginary birds and flowers that are crowding round her. Also, she thinks she's leaning in to sniff the flower like Michael Jackson with his anti-gravity lean in the Smooth Criminal video. That's just how muddled she is. I guess the moral of the story is that things aren't always what they seem. Or something like that.
She's was made using the magic of acrylic paint, paint pen, stickers and charcoal on a large (A1 size) bit of coloured paper. She will surely look magnificent when framed up. If you're interested drop us a line...
Cheers

Shooting at the 2010 National Folk Festival over the Easter weekend ... I came across these little photos hung from tree twigs ... I thought them kinda cool and thought I'd share. Art Ninjas indeed!
Hope everyone finds themselves well and happy :-)

Aglais io, the European peacock, more commonly known simply as the peacock butterfly, is a colourful butterfly, found in Europe and temperate Asia as far east as Japan
this is for a concept I tried out a while back. I'm not sure if I actually had the words to give a meaning to this concept, I guess I'd thought that it would make a pretty photo to have wild pages fluttering around a girl reading -which I think has been done loads of times before; nevertheless, it was fun to create my own although it did cause quite a lot of outrage as I'd actually used real pages torn out from a real book (I'll never do that again, I swear).
Next time, I'm coming up with my own concepts.
