Parked after a perfect landing and easy stop at the top of the hill after proper application of reverse thrust, no braking needed. Vindication!
I realized the course I entered didn't actually align with the runway heading for some reason so I had to make a correction
Weathered a few storms while waiting almost a month for departure but finally ready to continue the journey
Noticing that the autopilot has failed to make note of the changes to the flight plan and is still following the original track
All attempts to get the autopilot back on course failed so I just said screw it, deleted the flight plan and set a direct course for my destination. Then the AP got the hint
Climbed up to 15,500' in anticipation of weather ahead and now I'll be making it to Vaasa no problem
Fiddling with the active nav source to see if I can get the co-pilot display to show the VOR radial while my display shows the FMS bearing. All I managed to do was disconnect the AP from the FMS
Waiting for my plane to de-ice a fellow pilot comes by to say hello. Hangs around for a bit before realizing I'm not going anywhere soon and heads out
No sign of visible airframe icing. Tried pulling the carb heat and that did not recover the RPMs lost
Turning back to the airport as although I could maintain flight and wouldn't have to climb over terrain on this route, I'm not going anywhere fast at only 70kts
Back in the cockpit for another go. I did some testing in warmer temps and everything worked fine so definitely icing-related. Seemed to work fine on second attempt from runway so maybe a sim bug on the initial cold & dark startup
