Mount Ontake and the Miura Reservoir

Enjoying the view from near the top of the mountain, near Acorn Butte

Mostly straight-in and easy approach to the paved strip at Middle Bass Island, 3T7

Taxiing straight out for departure

The Ucayali River, another precursor to the Amazon

Turning for the headwaters

Passing over the Arena da Amazônia - Vivaldo Lima as I fly past the airport on downwind leg

Just over 1600nm will make this the longest leg, and I'll have to stretch my endurance to make it with fuel to spare

Will have to back-taxi even though I would prefer a straight-out departure from here, but ATC is the boss...

Departing from Easter Island

1/4 tank range check and winds have become more favorable to keep me just outside my reserve range ring, which will be enough for at least one go-around

Successfully engaging reverse thrust as I touch down just past the parking tarmac

Turning about to taxi back after not running off the end of the runway. It was a great landing, all things considered, rated as Average with a 1.7G touchdown

I've made it to South America! This leaves Antarctica as the only continent I've yet to fly to

Carving through the valley that will lead me out to Iliamna Lake

Pushing the range yet again. Waited a few days to try and get some favorable winds but prevailing direction is east to west so best I could do was aim for a time they weren't blowing so hard

Switching on the oxygen as we pass through 8,000' and I only now just noticed this spelling error looking at the picture

Because I climbed and forgot to re-check my throttle settings I was bumping redline on my torque just a bit - not enough to notice at the time though

Hopefully down now below the clouds as I cross the St Vincent Gulf

Threatening skies over Adelaide

Coming up the shore along Glenelg Beach and the mouth of the Patawolonga Creek

Getting up above the first cloud layer

Leveling off at 12,500' and using a radial from the Adelaide VOR to help set me in the right direction

The town of Blyth has a distinctive layout I was able to find on my external map to mark my progress since the VFR charts of Australia are pretty bare

Was a bit premature in my final descent, holding at 2,500' until I'm sure I have my bearings

Looking out over the Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park

Touchdown at Leigh Creek, managed to not whomp it down into the ground for once

Parked at Leigh Creek - first stop on my journey through the middle of the Outback to the capital of the Northern Territories

Getting ready to hop aboard at Forks

Looking at Mt Carrie on the northern section of the mountains

Passing over Apex Airpark Airport

Coming over Bainbridge Island with Seattle in sight

Aubrey Davis Park covers up I-90 for the benefit of nearby residents

Looking back at the Seattle skyline over downtown Bellevue and across Lake Washington

Circling back around over the truck stop as I continue to climb and turn on course

Dodging clouds on my way up with the south coast in sight

Keeping just on top of the clouds doesn't sit well with me either since spotting the ground will be a crapshoot and then navigating will just be more difficult

Through that rain band without really getting wet but up ahead things are not looking any better

Can now see ahead to my next obstacles and looks like things are getting more scattered, which is good

Taking a moment to enjoy the southern Australian shoreline. Also the winds are so strong that even though I'm pointed inland I'm almost still flying along the shore

No problems on ascent, now cruising north at FL295

Climbing from 2,500' to 4,500' for better view while hopefully still staying below the clouds

Taxiing out and the weather is still iffy. I mean, I'll punch through clouds if I have to but I prefer not to

Oh hell, ITT running away from me again in these warm climes and hard climbs

Poofy cloud rolls by as I climb hard at Vy

Aaaand now I'm over-torquing the engine, Geeez get your shit together Drew
