26/31: October 2019: A month in 31 pictures
Well you knew I'd use these pumpkins again, didn't you? I thought it was time Stitch (my little mouse) put in an appearance again too...along with some similarly toned stuff.

I'm kind of getting hooked on this 'shades of' theme. Sorry if it's getting boring but all is fair in a 365, and they do take a while to set up...there is a lot of faffery involved. I know the spoons aren't purple but I thought they added a bit of interest and they are tied with a purple ribbon.
326/365: Inspired by the red snowflake in my new Christmas mug, I decided to put a few red things together to see how it would work...having tried and failed with red before. Each year I add to my collection of Christmas mugs. You may well see the outside of this one in another 365 shot as I really love it. I bought the tiny heart dish from Granville Market, Vancouver while visiting there with Flickr friend Charlotte...using it brought back lovely memories.
Taken for this weeks Crazy Tuesdays group theme: ❤ Heart(s) ❤
Thank you for your visit! HaPpY CrAzY tUeSdAy!
These are the red tulips I posted on Day 36 (February 5th) and even though I have some newer tulips I decided to photograph these at least one more time.
We are celebrating a long weekend here and we are getting ready to head off to visit with my parents and also my brother who is visiting from out of town. It is quite snowy and not the nicest for going out or travelling anywhere but at least we aren't needing to drive very far. I like winter and snow but I am kind of glad that February is a short month.
Thanks for your visit! Have a wonderful day!
Another great brocante-find: tapestry wool. I will use these wonderful colors in all sort of projects; winding, weaving, knotting, knitting or crochet. I have so many nice ideas.
Since I had so many strawberries from a recent trip to a berry patch, deciding what to do with them took a little thinking. I made some strawberry jam and froze some for smoothies but baking something with them is also something I wanted to do. I have made a strawberry pie only once or twice before and I thought that I'd give it another go. I sure hope it tastes good!
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and I thank you for your visit!
I'd like to wish my Flickr friends a very Merry Christmas. I hope you day is filled with joy and love as you celebrate the holiday with family and friends.
I thought I'd try a flat lay with some flowers and hearts and added a texture. I don't need much of anything else in life...hmmm, except maybe chocolate?...oh yes...definitely chocolate! :)
I hope you had a lovely day! Thanks for stopping by.
A flat lay of memories from my now deceased older generations. A white lace tablecloth and brooch from my grandmother H, my Aunty B who died just before Christmas some years ago and who folded parachutes during WWII, her brother my Uncle E, and a cup of tea beloved by my mother with her fancy cup. Candles and potpourri to complete the memories.
Taken as a flat lay with my light box

A cold Spring day calls for some tea to warm you up.
Thanks for your visit! Happy Sunday to all and I hope you have a wonderful week.
Another rainy Spring day here. I am grateful it is mild with just rain and fog because just a little further north the folks are experiencing freezing rain and power outages. The freezing rain has been so bad that trees are breaking and coming down. Mother Nature isn't always kind.
Thanks for your visit! Have a wonderful Sunday, friends.

BDCC monthly challenge - New ~ New book for the new year.
Well, it's a new to me book. An Ebay bargain. A few years ago I did an introductory course in modern calligraphy and decided that this year I would take it up again so thought this book might help with the practise. I don't know where i am going to find the time but it seemed like a good idea and if nothing else it has served as a photo prop ;)

Anything goes for 2021 - Handmade with love
A couple of my handmade cards and a handmade and hand written tag, all made with love of course. My creative mojo had disappeared but recently I have been a bit more inspired so have enjoyed making cards rather than it being a chore...and the April challenge is making me pick my camera up every day and think about setting up an image.
Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Omni filter...the bokeh balls top right.
201/365: These menus were used as placemats in one of the restaurants where we ate in Montreal. I asked the waitress if I could bring them home and she very kindly brought me a new one, I still brought one that we'd used as I knew I would be able to do more with two. I asked my husband if he fancied a glass of red wine, I was honest with him though about my ulterior motive. I just thought the glass would look better with a drop of red wine. The spoons are one of my purchases from the junk shop visit. I've been wanting to use them since I got back.
The slow down may not have lasted long but it was long enough so I could drink my cup of tea.
When the afternoon rolled around I was outside doing more yardwork and then finished off by hanging up my Christmas lights. I know it seems a little early (this is the earliest I have ever had them up) but the weather was perfect and I didn't have to freeze my hands off. I'd say that's a win for me.
Happy Sunday to you. Thanks for your visit. :)
I was watching Pam meticulously creating this desert for an upcoming party and felt it fit the “Flat-lay” theme…so here it is. Photographed on a black felt background.

20/30 - April 2018: A month in 30 pictures
Last weekend we were at the beach and the weather wasn't great, this weekend we can't go and the weather is lovely...that's life but it gave me inspiration for the photo. The starfish are ornaments, the letters from my craft stash.
Looking Close on Friday theme: only two words
I'm working on book page paper crafts and this one didn't make the cut so was headed to the trash, but I revived it just in time for this photo.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and favs. All are greatly appreciated. HLCoF
Scrambled?
Fried?
Over easy?
Devilled?
How about chocolate eggs? 😉
Or maybe all of the above?
I like them any way...
These were scrambled into omelettes for tonight's supper. Eggs are not just for breakfast at my house. Sometimes we have so many eggs that I like to use them up by having omelettes for supper. I will usually cook up some homestyle potatoes to go along with them and fry some bacon. Yum!
Thanks for your visit! I hope your day was good!
The idea for this Christmas inspired flat lay came to mind as I was emptying the dishwasher - haha! I like doing flat lay photography and Christmas is my most favourite season for photo inspiration. I am letting the creativity flow when I can.
Thanks for your visit! I hope you had a great day.
Although it is officially Spring, it certainly doesn't feel like it when you are waking up to snow and a cold, blustery wind. Not nice, Mother Nature, not nice at all! :(
I saw this Facebook post which I thought was funny AND accurate...
"Spring is literally that friend who says they are 'on the way' but hasn't even left the house yet." 😂
Thanks for your visit! Happy Tuesday to you...I hope your day was a good one.
Evidence of a probable cat and dove encounter. A pair of doves were in the habit of stealing the cat's food from a table outside. Apparently one of them did not sufficiently scout out the area for hazards before landing. I saw no dead bird, but there is only one dove hanging out in the nearby tree where there used to be two, so I suspect the bird did not survive.

I'm so excited for the boards I've used for my surface. Over the summer my neighbors replaced their fence and let me have a section of the aged and weathered boards. When my husband and I cleaned up the yard a couple of weeks ago he cut them down for me, yay! Still practicing food, I want this to feel a bit looser but haven't been able to master the effortless look so I keep trying. Fun day planned, enjoy your weekend.
