Smile on Saturday theme: On forks
This morning I went to Heeman’s, my favourite greenhouse. I bought another hanging basket since it was 25% off and replaces one that I bought earlier in the season which kicked the bucket. Heeman’s also sells fresh strawberries picked right from their own field. I have company coming over tomorrow for dinner and I’ll be serving strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Thanks for your visit! HSoS!!
"Looking close... on Friday!": Made of paper

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is flat lay.
And since it has been a very, very long time since we had an egg or lemon picture, so why not… I truly had a hard time to decide on an egg or a lemon, so I just combined the two in one concept. So here we go, an egg flower with a lemon center. I hope it will make you smile !
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! And see you soon !!

Flatlay for Crazy Tuesday.
Decided to use this as a way of an introduction, selecting objects with meaning for me.
I love this old photo of me as a child holding a newspaper as it seems to predict my future career- I'm a journalist in a local paper.
I've always been interested in photography and this Olympus Trip was my first 'proper' camera about 40 years ago.
I love reading, with Alice Munro among my favourite authors, and I'm interested in the visual arts, although I no longer paint. (My son is an artist so one's enough in the family).
I like jewellery, from cheap bling to pieces made by local jewellery makers.
Finally, I enjoy travel, although the pandemic unfortunately put that on hold.
We are very fortunate to have a beautiful farm 1 mile from the house. Alex is one of the most environmentally conscious farmers in Maine. And he is a dear friend of the community.
