Track laying at the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway to re-instate the section of line between Stonehenge Works and Mundays Hill. When the line was in commercial use part of the section was double track and the opportunity has been taken to extend that distance. The regular, volunteer track gang are being assisted by a team from Transport For London. These people have been recruited and trained to maintain the Elizabeth Line (formerly Crossrail) but as yet trains are not running.

I really like it! Could maybe be a tad tighter? I might just finish it as is because several had to take it in after a couple of wear/wash anyway... Some diagonal lines near center front... Somewhat discreet lines coming from shoulders... No smile - but take my words, I'm happy! I'm just thinking about changing position rapidly as my 10 automatic photos shoot is quite fast!

Do not restrain yourself, I can take all your insights ; What would YOU do? I might not act on every comments, but I love to learn about other seamstress opinion and wisdom! :D

Note ; the skirt side seam are not basted and no pins either, I'm feeling lazy/efficient tonight! Sorry for the tiny flash of flesh that could appear... :D

Note 2 : a few more photo on my photostream, in the Tiramisu set.

Note 3 : Ha ha! My unfinished Simplicity 1882 muslin (cheap poplin) is almost the same color!

Are we really who we are in our school photographs? In that moment, with a perfect smile? I chose to explore how I could portray someone trying to fit that image and persona.

Thanks to the MIL for going to the entrance lottery while we were in the States, and having the luck to draw the kid into the fancy private school.

After seven different renfrews, I finally figured out how to make the one that fit me the best in terms of comfort. I was having issue with tightness around the upper arms. I also learned how to apply a neckband correctly using a video online - it makes a huge difference in getting rid of the draglines I had at first. I am happy to finally have made a comfortable renfrew that I plan on making over and over. I had a lot of help from the patternreview.com forums and I recommend looking for advice there if you are also having problems with fitting something.

I wrote more here: cathywu.com/journal/kalali/2013/12/09/sewaholic-renfrew-d...

A horrible, slow, laborious job that I hope never to do again.

Looks nice though.

Fitting the band on a tight stage is part of cutting your teeth in the music scene. THis is a nice venue to get a start. The group plays hard corp traditional jazz numbers.

This is a very complicated job because of the compound curves necessary.
