So, I slice them down the back and reattach them with hot glue. I also used bread ties to keep the fabric together while the glue hardened. (It only took burning myself once to come up with that idea.)

The desk is dry fitted and clamped into its final form in order to mark the tenons for final trimming. Next time it is fitted together it will be with glue and will (hopefully) hold for ever...

I had an exciting day today and thought this was a fitting photo to go along with my excitement.

Today a signed contract to allow author, Chuck Sambuchino, use of some of my "Not my dog" photos for his upcoming humorous yet untiltled pet book to be published this summer. A portion of the proceeds of the book will go to non kill animal shelters so I don't feel to bad about not receiving any payment for the photos.

On another happy note I received an offer letter for a short term job transfer. I am looking forward to learning new position.

I think 2012 is going to be a good year for me.

The chassis is completed by fitting the rear panel which carries the power supply. At this point it is not connected to the wiring harness, I continued to run the unit from my bench PSU as this has better current limiting if there is a fault (or if I short something out :-))
