The First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame receives Her Excellency First Lady of Benin Mrs Claudine Talon for a working visit in Kigali on 7 November 2016.
My first assignment as a newspaper photographer was to shoot the grand opening of an Ethan Allen furniture store. I could not capture the image I wanted because at that time, I only had a 200mm telephoto lens and a 50mm normal lens. A chaperone mirror helped me get the wide-angle subject coverage I needed.
I was pleased that my city editor was pleased with my image.
I immediately invested in a wide-angle lens.
This image was shot on Kodak Tri-X with a 50mm lens on a Miranda Sensorex 35mm SLR in the summer of 1968.

On a recent visit to Copenhagen I awoke like a little kid, so rather than stay in bed I set off on a 05.00 wonder around this most beautiful city. To the north of the city there is an arc of five lakes that add a very nice waterfront feel. Alongside one of these lakes the far bank is seen illuminated by the 05.30 sunshine.
The only one of these buses to have this time of camera. Usually they used Silent Witness or BusWatch

I don't think I can even put into words how proud I am to have captured this photo! I am so excited! This is the first inside of the barrel photograph I have ever captured!
She is actually now deboxed! I have heard a lot about poor quality in new releases- and although I don't wish to detract from peoples bad experiences I have to say I'm very impressed with her quality. Yes her hair was greasy and shed a little, but no more than my CapChat. And those long John things are... Odd (but I think are to protect against staining?). Anyhow ramble over I will take some pics tomorrow! 💕

going through some old family slides and came across this one... my first christmas in 1973, with my brother behind me... notice how he's pointing a shotgun directly at my back with his facial expression, ha! he was probably thinking, "take that little sister!!"
As far as I know this bus started out at First Student Sullivan West, then was transferred to Wallkill. Wallkill kept it for a year or so before it was shipped up north to Buffalo.
