Framed by two mature trees, First Potteries 60074, passes through Hartshill close to where I live. 60074 (V832GBF) was one of 3 Scanias with Wright Axcess Floline bodies, delivered new to First PMT ten years ago. This bus met with an unfortunate accident in its first year and was returned to Wrights for repair. After a few years, the bus moved to First Manchester, and for a short period, First Edinburgh, before returning home in August 2007. Upon return, 60074 received "unilink" route branding for service 25 (Hanley - Keele). Although on service 25 when I took this photo on 9 August, the branding has now been removed.

My girlfriend is a big First aid Kit fan, so after seeing them in Zürich and forgetting to bring our cameras, we went again in St. Louis in France and it was amazing very small venue directly at the stage!

Following on from my previous posting here we have 31926 R426SOY another one of the East Lancashire Pyoneer bodied Dennis Arrows delivered new to Capital Citybus of London. However, R426SOY was a one off example built to be displayed at the 1997 Bus and Coach Show at the NEC in Birmingham and which I had a great involvement in building when working with the development team at East Lancs. It was also the last of the Capital Citybus vehicles delivered in their original all over yellow livery before the introduction of the red and yellow scheme designed by First Group. Again it was built as a dual door vehicle to H49/27D layout.

Always loved astrophotography and I really wanted to try it out myself.
Not really happy with my first result but decided to upload it anyways. Hopefully practice makes perfect!
Shot on the Canon 5D MK3 with the Sigma 18-35 at 35 to avoid vignetting.
Decided to download the Photomatix free trial to try out before I buy. No idea if this is how it's supposed to look. Made from 3xp .JPG. Please critique.
I have not been feeling too well lately. It would seem that I have developed a minor peanut-allergy and it has affected me in several (painful) ways.
Anyway, I'm on the mend now thanks to some super-size antihystamines, so I've finally been able to get out and do some photography.
An old subject I'm afraid, but at least it's a new(ish) view of my favourite Swansea architecture!

Re-published; fixed original white balance to a slightly warmer and brighter mood!
I very hesitantly publish my first steps ever with a digital SLR, with a mixed feeling that is between the excitement of new possibilities and the guilt of knowing that I will be using less film, just after I started again doing my home developing and having recently invested in more film photo gear.
I don't think that I can exclusively use either analog or digital photo technology. Most of us use a mix of both techniques. I will not upgrade to more medium format or any large format film, and I don't want to spend most of my nights scanning, so a good quality 24x36 digital camera with decent lenses seemed to be a good compromise.
The results will not have the "soul of film" but I hope that I will bond with it as much as I have done with my 35mm film cameras, and forget all the technology and the controls, to just visualize and make the photos I like.
