Hotel burnt to ground apparently after fire started by repair work to flat roof on veranda. The centre section of the hotel was timbre frame construction and once the fire got into the roof space, there was no stopping it. The photos are exif time stamped so you can judge the speedyresponse of the fire brigade.

Bedford TK fire appliance. This appliance was built by HCB Angus for the Suffolk & Ipswich Fire Service, It is one of 10 fitted with a Rolls Royce engine purchased in 1974-5.

1951 Bedford ''SB'' Fire Engine.

Just before 9:30am County Fire responded to multiple reports of a structure fire at 5510 Somerset Drive. Upon arrival units found a working fire to the rear of the structure and made a rapid attack. There were no injuries reported.
