I have become so preoccupied with buying last years Matchbox stock from various Pound shops recently that I had neglected the here and now editions. Luckily Morrisons supply a decent selection of current Matchbox singles and so managed to pick up a few of these latest Pierce Dash fire engine models. In the right colour scheme I can see this casting being popular for years to come. Mint and boxed.

Even with such a breadth of licensed castings to choose from, Matchbox still very much favour their 2006 generic Fire Engine which continues to be produced into 2016. Its not a bad design for a generic with believable squared off styling and can usually be found in attractive liveries such as this one which appeared in five vehicle sets in late 2015. This one came from ASDA in very early January 2016. Mint and boxed.
