It was a wet and fairly windy day at this years Fire Engine Rally so just goes to show that the sky's over Paisley are not always blue...

Latest 2022 Case E recolour of the Matchbox Hazard Squad Fire Engine. Yes its now got an all plastic body and yes it is an entirely generic design but i've always had a soft spot for this most believable of castings.
Mint and boxed.

First released way back in the 1970's, the Hot Wheels fire-Eater casting is quite the survivor. It returns for late 2021 in a noticeably modified form, particularly its front end where its lights and grille arrangement are now part of the baseplate to cut down on costs. Its body is predictably now all plastic but still has some charm nonetheless. Is this a generic design or loosely based on a real vehicle? Part of Case Q found recently at ASDA. Mint and boxed.
Although I don't particularly dislike the Matchbox Blaze Blitzer generic Fire Engine it isn't realistic enough for me to want to buy any as singles. There are elements of it which I do like such as the chunky styling particularly looking at it side on but the front end and 4x4 stance remind you this is very much a creation of the Matchbox team rather than a real vehicle! I got another one of these simply as it was part of a five vehicle set containing some nice licensed fire related vehicles when they were very briefly available from ASDA. Mint and boxed.
