It was a wet and fairly windy day at this years Fire Engine Rally so just goes to show that the sky's over Paisley are not always blue...

Memorial parade for fallen fire fighter Joanne Ruoff as seen on U.S. Highway 101 in Port Orford, Curry County, Oregon.

With 2 1/2 Ton Crash Truck . Able to produce foam , these fire trucks were the staple of both U.S Army airfields and base operations in the 1960's and 1970's. Our unit protected the Hueys of the 119 Aviation Company( Assault Helicopter) known as " The Redhawks"

These engines had beefier springs since they carried 400 gallons of water and 40 gallons of foam. They were also powered by a turbocharged 5 ton diesel engine.

Another MAN TGA based fire engine sold under the Teamsterz range by HTI. Although it is a low cost unlicensed casting, it certainly looks far more realistic than a lot of the recent Matchbox fire engines which are not only blatantly generic but are also way too far fetched in their styling. This one is all metal too!! ;-)

Rescue 4 blocking traffic on Bellew Drive during a high-rise hotel fire drill in 1994, it was Holiday Inn at the time and was completely surrounded by open land. I bet now it's surrounded by other hotels and offices.

Antique fire trucks at the Motor Transport Museum in Campo, CA. On the left is a 1947 Mack Type 85 pumper originally owned by the City of Claremont, CA. On the right is a 1958 International R185 pumper that belonged to the U.S. Marine Corps. and was used at Camp Pendleton.
