North Yorkshire Fire Brigade

I've seen other versions of this Realtoy Nissan Diesel aeriel ladder truck here on Flikr but unfortunately the only ones her in the U.K. appear to be this red Fire version. Definately a copy of the Tomica version, they are readily available from most supermarkets at stupidly low prices. This one came from Tesco. Mint and boxed.

with thanks and copy right adey alison all these pics and many many more can be found on our new Facebook group

Saturday, 14 October, 2017, was the first time I visited Winster just in time to make a pictorial record of a village local history "event" soon after it had happened.

As I drove down to the bottom of West Bank there was a crowd of people at the west end of Main Street blocking my way. A bystander told me that two vehicles had been on fire and the street was blocked off at both ends while the Fire Brigade cleaned up.

I parked my car and took these photos at two different times during the afternoon.

Fortunately, I understand that no one was hurt in the fire.

Two vehicles were completely burnt out and at least one other appeared to have been damaged. A nearby house suffered damage to windows.

This is a photo of my great-grandfather David K. Frame who drove trucks for the A&P supermarkets in Pennsylvania for 25 years. This is a 1921 or later Mack AC the truck that made Mack famous and led to its bulldog nickname & mascot. These trucks were used by both American and British soldiers during WW1 and supposedly the British engineers who were testing these trucks said that they had "the tenacity of a bulldog". The Mack AC was produced from 1916 through 1939. Note the C shaped completely open cab - no doors nor creature comforts for you sir only a roof and split vented windshield, come rain or shine.

Loosely based on a MAN TGA cab is this nicely cast little fire engine ladder truck sold in the UK under the Teamsterz brand. The actual manufacturer is Daxiang, the same one that makes a lot of the Teamsterz unlicensed stuff such as the Ford Transit MK3 and Ford Crown Victoria. Part of a 2 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

I'm surprised Mattel allow such blatant copying of some of its models but here we have a cheapo reproduction of the generic 2006 Matchbox Fire Engine. The casting itself doesn't look much worse than the Matchbox version but certainly doesn't feel as well made with pretty weak wheels and axles. I've seen them for some time sold in bargain and souvenir shops in different liveries, brand names and packaging though I believe the actual maker is Feisu. This one is currently available at B&M and is sold in City Vehicle packaging. Mint and boxed.

Ex London Fire Brigade Pump Escape

This is a Freightliner Columbia tractor one of my favorite big rigs. I don't know what it is used for, maybe pulling a USAR trailer. I took these pics a few years ago so it may have stripes & badging by now, not sure. I edited out reflection from the sun on the windshield in 2 of these pics.

The San Francisco Fire Department lost two of its members from Engine Company 26, who were both critically injured during an explosion while bravely fighting a house fire in the Diamond Heights neighborhood on June 2, 2011. Both died at the hospital as a result of their injuries after all rescussitative measures were taken by the Emergency Trauma staff at San Francisco General Hospital.

Days later firefighters from around California and around the country gathered to pay their respects during a funeral service. In this sequence we see some of the equipment from the area around Sacramento, from Farifield in the West to Lincoln in the East.

Another Teamsterz MAN TGA based fire engine ladder truck. Nice detailing and not bad quality wise for something so inexpensive. Part of a 2 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

I took these photos on July 27, 2007 during a Caboose Hunting trip with my friend Larry Platt. One of the cabooses that we wanted to photograph had just received an expensive restoration & a new Paint Job, so we paid a visit to Wes Coscia's Estate near Dade City, Florida. Much to our surprise, we found a treasure trove of Railroad artifacts within Wes' Property. Wes Coscia is a Builder who rode the rise & fall of the recent Real Estate Boom & Bust of the Early & Late 2000's.

These Four photos show Wes Coscia's Two Fire Trucks.

This appliance originally served at Newcastle Airport before being bought by Lydd

Currently running as the reserve TL is Magirus-Deutz 256D14/Rosenbauer B955 EVY, the only appliance in the current fleet to wear dayglo livery. This is another Del Prado model, originally lettered for a Belgian brigade, although several of these early Magirus aerials were sold in the UK. Crew cab TLs are unusual but not unknown with UK brigades. Note that the beacons are unusually attached to the sides of the ladder rather than the cab roof.
