Chá Gorreana is the oldest tea plantation of the Azores on Sao Miguel and for a long time has been the only tea plantation in Europe. The farm itself is a very touristy place but when I was there we were basically the only people around, although the plantation is just across the street. Maybe this was due to the few drops of rain this afternoon. Anyways, this is a gorgeous place for landscape photographers.
I have seen quite a few birds in the yard missing their tails. I assume this is part of molting. We have so many sparrows and I think this is a song sparrow. Please correct me if this is wrong.
With a couple of weeks of freezing fog and light snow, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Fairbanks.
There is the old photography adage of the "golden hour", the hour after sunrise and before sunset to get golden light. This time of year in Fairbanks, it lasts a bit longer as these photos were taken at noon. But then again, this time of year, noon is only 1.5 hours from either sunrise or sunset!
Having fun with a new aquisition, a Sigma 150-600mm lens that despite its size it's not as heavy as I thought. This image was taken somewhere near home on a daily walk with my dog.

Is it any wonder this part of Kansas is part of what is called "Tornado Alley?" Find a hill anywhere in this picture -- what is there to stop wind! It's home, but I'd give anything for a mountain within a day's drive! :)
PS--to all the flat-earthers out there: this is for you!
The house that draws me.... its so cool, and one day i'm going to see it in summer and fall, and spring!! LOL

The paddy fields of Bangladesh are an enormous source of beauty through out the year. When the crops are in the middle stage then the whole field is covered with green colors and it seems someone just covered the whole surface with a green blanket. When the breeze goes through the fields the green fellows toss their head and an amazing scenic beauty creates.
The farmers when just start cultivating the field and prepare the seed bed that is also an amazing scene when the crops just try to arise their head in the field.
Autoumn comes and the paddy fields assume a golden colour. It seems theat some one has spread gold all over the fields. In the late autumn dew-falls on the green fields and leaves oif the trees dazzle in the morning and look like there.
The most amazing thing is , you can see the paddy fields around you , also participate in farming work, & they will provide all kinds of organic foods as well.

My ancestors were Teutons, Germans, Quadi and Marcomanni. They lived on the territory of Great Moravia. Their king was Prince Mojmir. Fields and harvest the fields for them was as important as the war that resulted. Grain for them to be the same price as the severed head of an enemy!
