The story is about a tiny village called “Mala Berezovytsya” which means “small birch tree village”, or Small Birchville as I prefer and hop you don’t mind. This is at the same time much of a Flickr story, because it happened as a result of modern global network friendship.
One of my Flickr friends from Canada noted that I live only 30 km away from the village where his family originates from and from where they emigrated quite a long time ago. Bob kindly asked me if I could go and make a few shots for him and his senior mother. Frankly, I got really interested in a trip but still had to wait for the nearest perfect weather/free time combination and I didn’t regret my decision. Borrowed an off-roader (in Ukraine you cannot go just anywhere with a sedan) took almost all my family and adventures began...
We live in the city, work in the office and actually spend so much time connected via intent and phone, drive around the whole day, watch the news on satellite: citizens of the world. And it was so great to go there out on a countryside and simply enjoy watching the cow slowly chewing the juicy grass… We could go off road in the field, open the windows and enjoy the smells of blossoming harvest, see the curious tractor drivers looking at us and feel the wind in our hairs: gorgeous!
I got inspired so much and supported by my lively wife that I want to start a project that rages far beyond my regular business activity. Soon I will announce my idea for your kind attention, my dear friends!
To others who were looking at me taking pictures, They probably don't see what I was seeing. But I see the beauty even in the most plain field. The beauty is the eye of the beholder - this quote works for Kansas.
Hold up.... before you say to yourself, "Lame, he already uploaded this photo..." Yes, I have already uploaded a similar version of this shot. However, it isn't quite the same. This shot differs from the other in that,
1) It is a vertorama, and
2) It is a DRI.
Here's why I did it...
I feel as though flickr is a way to showcase an individual's best shots. But, you'll also notice that it shows a natural progression in the quality and ability of the photographer, whether the photographer realizes it or not.
Seriously, look up your favorite photographer here on flickr. Chances are, if they have been a member of flickr for a while, their first shots are not nearly as good as their most recent shots. Naturally, over time, they have become a more seasoned artisan of their craft. I love this aspect of flickr.
So yes, here is another shot of the same scene... But at the same time, here is another small step forward for me in my photography as well.

The narcissus field , Miyagi Zao Eboshi Resort 水仙畑 みやぎ蔵王えぼしリゾート
In the beginning of May , the mountainside of Miyagi Zao is filled with the flowers and the green grasses.
It's one of my favorite seasons through the year.
I introduce some sceneries I took in the beginning of May this year.

Evie & I walked through the fields full of sheep yesterday afternoon. We came across these two lambs, they had just woken up & can't have been more than a day old & they ran towards Evie & me!
I thought 'Shit, where's your mum' they thankfully stopped and stood a few feet away, before realising we weren't sheep lol ( Evie confused another pair later on!). Glad Evie stayed calm & quiet. I waited for a couple of minutes, getting concerned they had been abandoned (no reply to their calls) until mum finally showed up (totally crap parenting!) and we carried on, phew!
