What a beautiful day to be a bun in the sun.
Thinking about food, humping (recreational) and how to sneak onto the hooms bed tonight.

It's been quite some time since I last shot any landscape stuff as I've been busy shooting weddings and engagements.
I had a trip out to the fields only a short walk from the house a few weeks ago to shoot sunset, but it ended up not living up to much! To save coming home with an empty memory card, I thought I shoot with a shallow depth of field for a change.
This was shot with the D800e and the rather special Nikon, 85mm f/1.4G @ f/3.5.
I really liked the softness it gave to the image, along with the nice light in the foreground and background - turned out much better than I initially thought it would.

Taken in Worthington, Mass., last August while visiting the Berkshires...
You can't tell from the photo, but this was actually an extremely large field, completely filled with sunflowers. Unfortunately they were all facing the wrong direction. So, I very carefully climbed in, alarming probably a hundred grasshoppers, and took a few shots.

Was tipped off that there was a stunning field of poppies nearby (thanks Rich) so went out to take a look - it was all so spectacular, so step back and enjoy this first SOOC shot!
