this is another image from the swimming pool that's only visible at low tide at The Dancing Ledge on Dorsets beautiful Jurrasic coast! I climbed down onto the ledge which is 6-8 feet down onto what seems like sheet ice.... I nearly didn't go as is was quite dangerous....... but after looking and seeing as tide was on its way out I reckoned id have time and so went for it.......

this is over two minute exposure with a 10 stop Lee filter and a CPL filter on the front

Another one of my gorgeous Clematis vines, growing in my garden. When the bloom is done, the seed head is just as beautiful! Best viewed large.

I hope this picture fits well for this week theme. Have a happy smile on Saturday!

While we were shooting Mardi Gras house floats, I had the opportunity to shoot other great details all over town! I am especially fond of the old ironwork that is just everywhere!

Macro Monday theme 'egg': For this shot, I wanted to do a different type of egg and create a food masterpiece. I started by making a 3/4" cubed rice roll wrapped in seaweed. Placed an edible flower and piece of dill in the frame, then finally placing the 'egg' (salmon roe) on the roll and acrylic base.

Thank you all for your support and visit! Hope you have a wonderful new week ahead! Paper Kite Butterfly.

So the theme for this week's Smile on Saturday group is "Fancy Fabrics". I looked around and I guess all my fabrics are pretty boring and not what I would call fancy. I asked Marybeth for something fancy, maybe sheer that would be fitting for an abstract and she brought out this costume skirt. It was gold and seemed cool so off I went. If you look at the first comment you can see the skirt and the set-up I've been using for just about everything except natural sunlight. I started the shoot with the Nikon 55mm and came up with a few things. I then wanted to incorporate some bubble bokeh so out came the Meyer Optik 50mm and I got a few more shots. Each time I shot a batch and reviewed I would find a couple more I liked! I thought about a triptych and wanted one more specific shot to round out the group. Instead I got the shot on the right! I readjusted the layout/lineup and decided to use the middle shot from the Nikon. The three images really wanted to be posted solo but I kept them grouped for my one submission to the group.

For the Smile on Saturday group. Theme: "Fancy Fabrics"

Tea is an aromatic beverage prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured or fresh leaves of Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to China, India and other East Asian countries.

This candle is my favourite and unfortunately it's just about totally burn away. I am on a quest to find another.

A few (well, maybe more than a few) clicks and look what we have. I was going to go with "Wallflower" as a title, but I made the notes on the comment image first and decided to go with an alliterative alternative. I must admit to remaining astounded at some of the creations that arise from this addictive activity, and the frequently fanciful forms that result with fruition.

Taken during a photoshoot at our camera club. The flowers are dried and placed on a light table. This helps with the translucency,

I myself like the delicate look and feel.

yep.. there really is a fence in there

Happy Fence Friday Everyone!

I adore silk, the shiny (but no too bling) finer ornaments.

Here I am holding: COILED SILK…

I can so enjoy them, like this one.

Hope you do too?

THANKS for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated, M, (*_*)

Ella received several Fancy Nancy items for Christmas, including several books. I couldn't help but title this image in her honor, as I'm sure that this flower is one that Fancy Nancy would love, or should I say admire. Happy 2009!

Caught this hummingbird buzzing in mid-air and stopped the action at 1/1600 sec to show you how fast their wing beat can be. As the light dropped off behind it - it provided for just the right bokeh to show it off.

Detail of a 20 euro note.

Ik wilde graag een afbeelding van planten of dieren, maar kon er geen vinden. De laatste guldenbiljetten hadden die afbeeldingen wel, maar helaas niet bewaard.

I was hoping for a plant of animal on a note, but I have not kept any guilder notes. The last 50 guilder note was with sunflowers and the last 100 guilder note had an image of a snipe.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
