Fancy loooooooooves the babies. She thought Gunny was just the cutest thing she ever seen. She would stand at the fence and watch him for hours!
I saw this light bulb in a public washroom of a very funky little restaurant. It made me happy thinking about the person who took the time to paint the designs... I set there wondering what their house is like.
There is a house near where I work that has had these giant fancy poppies blooming for the last week. Yesterday I brought my camera so I could photograph them. The homeowner said "You've missed them in their full glory, I'm afraid." and he's right, the biggest ones have already waned.
I found the camera had a very hard time with the bright reds: all the photos were blown out with electric red, and there was virtually no visible definition in the petals. Fortunately shooting in RAW format means I can bring out what I want to see after the fact in LR.
I have a friend who would like to have some canvas prints with "a splash of red" in her bedroom. I wonder if she'd like these.

Yarn: Oceanwind Knits Merino in Tickled
Needles: 2.5mm circulars
Notes: I like this pattern, it was simple to memorize and made for good mindless knitting. The yarn is lovely, so nice and soft, and the color is perfect. I am concerned about how well this yarn will wear, but overall I'm pleased with how well these turned out.
