Students, faculty and staff enjoy themselves at Fall Fest 2015 on Wednesday, Aug. 26 on the E Loft Patio at the Main Campus in Galesburg. The annual back-to-school celebration included a bounce house, jousting, music, caricatures, free lunch and more. Let's do it again soon - we'll see you Oct. 14 for October Bash 2015!
This one was taken during a day trip with my wife this past Autumn. The location is just off the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1), in the foothills East of Canmore, Alberta. The view is West-Northwest. I particularly liked the layering of the colors and the DOF, so I thought I'd reprocess and re-release it.
Fall is finally here. I couldn't be happier.
Strobist info:
I sandwiched a leaf inside a diploma frame and used A clamps to prop it up. A white foam board went behind, and I aimed a Sunpak with a Cactus remote trigger at it. Flash set to 1/16th power.
I've narrowed down my selections for DCist Exposed 2009, and would love your help in deciding what to post to the group. View the complete set and instructions.

... What can I do, to make you mine
Falling so hard so fast this time
What did I say, what did you do?
How did I fall in love with you?
What can I do, to make you mine
Falling so hard so fast this time
Everything's changed, we never knew
How did I fall in love with you?
Here is a street performer playing the bagpipes in Calgary at their recent Lilac Festival.
The title "Fall Rise" is what is tattooed on his fingers.
I took this shot in daylight and then edited it with a black background. It took some time but it was a learning process.
If you have seen any of Lee Jeffries work from the UK on images such as this then you will know the "look" that I was aiming for.

"October's Party"
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

These sunlit weeping cherry leaves looked even brighter against the Japanese red maple and sky in the front yard.
Just came back from taking a few fall photos. I finally did find a partial fence just in time for Happy Fence Friday. Enjoy your weekend Flickr Friends!
It's not often I get sunset photos while in Colorado but this one made us slam on the brakes.
