Warm and crispy
It’s a little early for fallen leaves here. Warm days and cool nights indicate that autumn is on the way, although the leaves have yet to turn or fall.
The light has transitioned from the harsh glare of summer to a golden fall dazzle. I’m slowly starting to bring out the fall staples, like sweaters and boots and tall socks. However, it’s still warm enough to wear them with exposed skin.
Sweater, Forever 21 (thrifted). Skirt, Lucky (thrifted). Socks, Sock Dreams. Boots, Vince Camuto. Sunglasses, Target. Earrings, vintage.
Happy Thursday.
May you all have a wonderful Thursday.

Located north east of Toronto, the Haliburton Highlands is a pleasant two and a half hour drive from Metropolitan Toronto and approximately three hours from Ottawa through spectacular scenery.
It is rather cold outside (-24oC) and I really don't feel like going anywhere.. Though I did drive by the river and saw vapor rising from it looking very nice.. I did not take my camera with me though and maybe it's a good thing, especially considering the cold.. So .. Flower and colour it is again today. A little bit of summer and glorious fall..

We had some snow before this, but it didn't collect on the ground, so it doesn't count. This is a still from a short timelapse I shot under the canopy of a gas station late one night. Only 2 cars passed while I was there, and they both probably wondered what I was up to. (since the gas station was closed long ago)

This national park [Denali] in Alaska has been enlarged over the years and is now divided into three units… the national park, the wilderness area, and a preserve. The animals here get big. Winters are eight months long. These are harsh conditions to say the least and precipitation is low in this subarctic zone.
We visited at the best time of the year with fall colors still visible that don’t last long.
Wildlife are feeding in preparation for the long winter. So they can be seen from the side of the road in wilderness bus tours. We took the tour deep into the park and saw a grizzly bear, a caribou with a huge rack of antlers, and a large boar (male) moose. > ourtravelsaroundtheworld.com/denali-ak-tundra-wilderness-...

This is one of a pair of tall identical cottonwood trees that stretch out against the sky near where I start my workday. This one was hit by lightning several years ago. It striped it of its bark near the top of the trunk, and changed its pattern of growth. So, once twins, turned into two very different neighbors. The red leaves are from a vine that grows on the tree, and turns color in fall before the rest of the trees leaves.
While searching early morning for fall color and animal life the sun decided to pop its light though yonder trees!
A couple more views of the beautiful fall trees in reflection. These are from a slightly different viewpoint than the one I posted a while ago.
The colors of Autumn have fully arrived in Middle Tennessee. I'm not the biggest fan of cooler weather but the photographer in me loves the colors...

Have some of these guys growing outside the new apartment. No clue what it is, but I thought it would give me more of an excuse to play with my lightbox
edit: apparently it's called spindle bush.
... i believe that everything happens for a reason. people change so that you can learn to let go. things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they're right. you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Another image for a project for my photo club. I tried to get my Yongnuo 568exii to do second curtain sync, but it wasn't cooperating. This image was rotated 180 degrees from the original! This is a two image composite to get a wider spread of candies falling. Exif info: Canon 70D, 100L lens, f10, 1/50, iso 250. Strobist info: A YN 568exii was connected to the camera with an OCF cord and fired at 1/4 power. It was set for second curtain sync, but I don't think it worked that way. A small LED panel was used to light the candies to get the streak.
Part of the Greenbelt trail along the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, PA. Beautiful sunset on a warm Fall day.
I'm reaching back into the archives to get a Yosemite fix. I hiked up to the falls late in the afternoon to photograph the rainbow that forms as the last rays of the sun hit the spray at the base of the falls. I had to climb down onto a large rock at the edge of the river to find the vantage point I wanted.

Oddly enough, this simple shot is one of my favorite pics from this fall. It conveys how I feel this morning.............FREE! ...........no campaign emails in my box this morning!
I think this election proves one thing.......Americans Can Not Be Bought!! .....HA - HA - HAAAA!!!
Next time put your billions of dollars in a better place!
Just think, a couple more Super-Pacs could wipe out the country's debt! lol
39 - Autumn
Finally getting closer to where I am meant to be at this time of the year. I'm essentially in the right season now! Jealous?
So autumn is all about leaves that have fallen to the floor, that are crisp and pretty and no longer green. All of these elements have been covered by this uncannily autumnal picture.
Very little post-production, just a bit of cloning to remove an unsightly stick (which I should've moved when I took the photo) and a bit of a contrast boost to make the colour pop a bit more.
