Fall Color
The Cleome Hassleriana growing in the cut flower garden at Distant Hill Gardens is a stunning plant. It flowers all summer long and into the fall. An annual, it needs to be replanted each spring, but it does self seed, so some of the work of replanting is done by Mother Nature. We don't use it much as a cut flower, however, due to its strong fragrance. It smells just like marijuana!
