This pretty tree was growing along a stream off the river. This may be the last fall color I capture this year. Windy days have been stripping the trees of their leaves.

September of 2013 marked the final Fall the ICE 6400 series SD40-2's would roam the former ICE system. On a perfect September evening, train #475 hits the causeway at Reno, MN behind two blue and gold classic's. 6437 had been traveling these same rails since the ICE acquired it over a decade prior, while trailing 6101 has been doing it back since days of IMRL.
Ground cover changes as fall moves into the Eastern Sierra and Mono County. Sky added a nice touch to the scene.
-It's not going to take long, I promise. And the ride is going to be amusing.
You only have to relax and take a step back.
-But who would want to die on such a beautiful day?
In a few hours I start with the first lesson of my final exams... I don't know if I'm scared/anxious or not.. I just want them to be finished. They are eating my soul.
I'm not sure, but I find the colors weird. And I don't feel like changing them.
And I should be reading. But it felt so right to post this photo right now.
I can't even explain why but it represents my feelings now...

I love this picture with the leaves on top of the snow. This was a beautiful morning at Heritage Park in Adrian, Michigan.

I'm so glad we went to the Rundle Park before sunrise yesterday. It was pretty chilly (only 2oC) but so beautiful with a bit of frost on the ground. The outside of the city is almost empty of color already. Within we are still lucky to have majority of trees covered. Here is a few shots from our outing. I hope you like them as much as I do..
The sun, shifted off to the south, bathes a late fall woodland in infrared light illuminating leaves with a surreal glow. In this image the native tones of bronze sky and slate trees are swapped to give a some sense of familiarity to images made in a spectrum mostly alien to human eyes.
