An old round barn is positively aglow in the fading autumn warmth of a setting sun even though it is not in use any more. Every season of life has its good points but a person who has lived a satisfying life often shows a life glow in their fall season.
This structure was worthy of a panoramic shot. I wish I would have paid closer attention to framing on the second shot though.
Not much more than a trickle. This is the highest free fall east of the Rockies. I bet this is gorgeous with some more water going over.
Yes, I know that I should have taken this image a few steps over but doing that would make me fall off the edge of the cliff....

As the sky clears up on a frigid fall day, it shows some snow banks piling up on top of the tracks, I decided to head out for the first time in awhile, 2 miles down track in Porquis Junction they had some issues with late brake releases and issues on a radio controlled switch delayed that them about an hour which gave time for the sun the come out more.
None of my photos are HDR or blended images, they are taken from just one shot

A Union Pacific manifest glides down the east side of the Knapp Hill on a picture perfect fall morning.
About 2 weeks ago (before the inch of snow) i walked to the mailbox in the sleet and found 2 lingering clematis (ran back and got my camera). I don't know why the last hurrah, since they have not bloomed in about a month or two, but for some reason, and with only some green leaves remaining on the plant, two final flowers boomed amid falling leaves and sleet. Such a hopeful and happy sight for some reason.

On this particular day, we visited one of Iceland's popular waterfalls and it was super-crowded. We quickly moved on, hiking up above the waterfall to a high plateau with 360 degree views of mountains, glacial plains and the ocean in the distance - and no other people in sight. The sky was grey overcast so wide angle landscape photography was not in the cards but these pretty little plants called out to me. To anyone visiting the Skaftafell National Park area in Iceland, consider taking some time out to hike some of the park's less visited trails. There is some spectacular scenery just beyond the park's iconic spots.

The last vestiges of rain have fallen,
