West Virginia Highlands Photo Workshop - Save date Oct 7-8. Details in a couple weeks. PM for more info : )
We visited Dauset Trails Nature Center the other day on a bright and chilly morning. It was lovely to be able to see lots of trees still full of leaves showing off their vibrant reds and yellows in the morning sunshine.
With winter officially just around the corner and winterlike weather already here, I'm glad we took a few hours to visit Dauset when we did.
Fair warning - with my recent trips to Dauset Trails and Callaway Gardens I now have an abundance of photos I want to post, so there will be a little mix of everything.
Love cruising the back roads of Vermont. You just never know what photo opportunities will be lurking around the corner.
Can you imagine what this smelled like?
Thank you all for your comments and faves!

When I look for color I always remember our trip to Long Island in early November. It was such a pleasure to see all the reds and golds still on the trees as well as the countryside still colorful and pretty in the warm sun.. All sorts of good memories. Even with our mild winter, this year, it is nice to go back. After all, spring is still way too far away :D

When I saw the photo on my screen, I thought I had captured a giant snail or a mini kangaroo, turned out to be a leaf.... :)
Took this from outside my balcony door..on the third floor
I was looking for something interesting to shoot, but nothing much was happening on the street, I looked up and saw a pigeon sitting on the hook stick, as I took the shot the bird moved to fly, I was a bit dissappointed but when I looked back on the shot it surprised me at how it turned out....

Apologies again for not being too active on flickr - wedding proofs are taking precedence as well as coping with some badly rotting back two molars (panadeine forte coming in handy).
This shot was taken on a pretty murky and horrible day at Torridon. The weather inclement enough that we drove to Inverness to do some shopping instead. On our return we thought we'd stop by a random stream for a walk. Later that evening, the weather cleared and we climbed up to the vantage point of Slioch I posted earlier.
