my freshman year in college I went on a road trip with 5 friends all over the Eastern US. one of our stops was in Panama City, FL. At the beach we attempted to do some poses with handstands. the failed attempts were hilarious! we have so many great memories together from this trip!

Final fail of Alpine Design bag 900-FJ-FH bought at Sports Authority. Pity, the bag still looks good. Too bad we could not find a place to register the observation. Maybe the brand owner finds it here.
This is why date night stresses me. Tried a sitter from school. She let the kids paint. Indoors. With black. And didn't clean it up. It absorbed into all these porous mats. The kids tracked it in the house. It was all over the bathroom. She cooked food for herself and left it on the pan on the stove. Dishes in the sink. And fail.
Northern Lights (FAIL)
Decided to chance our luck with the recent amazing photos that have appeared of the northern lights from Scotland. Sadly we only saw a couple a flashes of it in the night sky!
My contribution to the Hack a Day FAIL contest.
It's kind of like..'Well, the wheels fell off" except with wrenches.
Yes the mini cafetiere plunger fits the matching Bodem cup, but if you have broken the jug and think you can do without, consider that when you have plunged, you won't actually have access to the contents of the cup anymore.
Maybe I should call this Cleverness Fail?
it really slows me down to take my right hand off the keyboard and use the mouse. so I got to thinking, what if I get a split keyboard and put a trackpad in between the two halves? that way I could manage the cursor without my hands leaving the keyboard. so I did that. the trackpad was too low, so I propped it up with a book. still, I can't reach it without taking my hand off the home keys. bummer.
Mystery Train - North Wales to Skegness 30th August 1982. 47236 took the train to Skegness & there was a rumour that money had changed hands to get the driver to fail the 47, so we could be rescued. 25's took us back to Derby then a 47/4 took us back.

Agora que percebi que sem querer até que variei bastante de marca, não fosse os 2 Coloramas, mas não consigo pensar em outro laranja e outro amarelo que tivesse me agradado mais que esses (mesmo porque vocês sabem que dessas cores eu não tinha muitas opções...rs).
Coloquei também a foto dos vidrinhos e películas escolhidas, que tirei logo no início do desafio, só houve alteração na combo com o amarelo, porque lembrei da minha inspiração e acabei trocando na última hora... hehehe

The 50x70cm poster "Dr.Fail" is our participation for the SEEAR Exhibition 2013 themed "Superheroes".
The brief was to create a character and visualize him through a poster.

The poster exhibits the origins of Dr.Fail through three basic timelines. Two of them are centered around his personal life and events, that inspired him to build machines and weird inventions, most of which failed miserably. The third timeline is focused on his relationship with Megumi, the girl who unwillingly broke his heart and transformed him to a super villain.

The idea behind the poster is not to show the character itself, but instead allow the viewer, through an emotional association, to visualize the character based on similar experiences. The color theme and the choise of the data circle, was inspired by the character's japanese origin, which is enhanced by the use of english and japanese languages for the legend and text of the poster.

This is a short and long reports that I made this year in Scicli (Sicily); it's a popular event called "Ride of Saint Joseph", tradition handed down from the Middle Ages, with some features that most likely originated during the period of ancient Rome, when the ancient Romans thanked the "sol invictus", the moment of the triumph of Light (the coming of Spring) who wins the cold and dark winter. Every year during the feast of St. Joseph in Scicli (Sicily) is commemorated with a "ride" that takes place along the streets of the town, the escape that took place in Egypt riding a donkey, of Joseph, Mary and the Baby Jesus; for the occasion, people will light characteristic bonfires light up the night. The figurative narrative of the escape into Egypt recounted in the Gospels, it is held every year around March 19 (this year on 2 April), with the preparation of the horses that are covered by a particular structure which is then decorated - harnessed with various flowers "of spring", wild lilies, wallflowers mantles, the horses thus assume the role of real "living tableaux" bearing depictions that tell of the Holy Family and theyr escape into Egypt. The traditional feast has its roots in the peasant culture, people ask St. Joseph for his intercession so that the harvest is plentiful, so the water does not ever fail: His image is present in every stable, the Holy protected the peasant family from every misfortune, every famine. This year the city of Scicli was literally "invaded" by the presence of numerous horses and riders, anticipating the appearance of horses "harnessed", donated suggestions and choreography that seemed to belong to an ancient Sicily.

Questo è un breve e lungo report che ho realizzato quest'anno in quel di Scicli (Sicilia), della caratteristica manifestazione popolare chiamata "cavalcata di San Giuseppe", festa tradizionale che si tramanda fin dal periodo medioevale, con alcune caratteristiche che molto probabilmente originano finanche dal periodo dell'antica Roma, quando si ringraziava il "sol invictus", il momento del trionfo della Luce (ovvero il giungere della Primavera) che vince sull'inverno freddo ed oscuro. Ogni anno durante la festa di San Giuseppe a Scicli (Sicilia) si rievoca con una "cavalcata" (che si svolge lungo le vie della cittadina), la fuga che avvenne in Egitto in sella ad un asinello, di Giuseppe, Maria e del bambin Gesù; per l'occasione si accendono caratteristici falò che illuminano la notte. La narrazione figurata della fuga in Egitto raccontata dai Vangeli, si svolge ogni anno intorno al 19 marzo (quest'anno il 2 Aprile), con la preparazione dei cavalli che vengono rivestiti da una particolare struttura la quale poi viene decorata - bardata con fiori vari "della primavera", gigli selvatici, manti di violaciocche; i cavalli assumono così il ruolo di veri "tableux viventi" recanti raffigurazioni che narrano della Sacra Famiglia e della fuga in Egitto. La festa affonda le sue radici nella cultura contadina, si chiede a San Giuseppe la sua intercessione affinchè il raccolto sia abbondante, affinchè l'acqua non abbia mai a mancare: la Sua immagine è presente in ogni stalla, il Santo proteggeva ieri come oggi la famiglia contadina da ogni sventura, da ogni carestia. Quest'anno la città di Scicli è stata letteralmente "invasa" dalla presenza di numerosissimi cavalli e cavalieri che, anticipando la comparsa dei cavalli "bardati", hanno donato suggestioni e coreografie che sembravano appartenere ad una Sicilia ... antica.

It was only after this initial photograph did I learn that holding your breath and blowing through your nose actually helps! :D This was hard to do though, taking it yourself! :D

After running over a nail, I tried patching my innertube, but the patch wouldn't hold. I tried patching the patch, but it blew too. So finally I just replaced the whole damn tube.

À la périphérie du Marché By à Ottawa, une ruelle sombre et souillée, décorée avec des images quétaines de bûcheroms et de trappeurs. L'enseigne suspendue au milieu indique "Hommage aux Franco-Ontariens".
At the periphery of the By Town Market in Ottawa, a dark and dirty alley, decorated with corny images of lumberjacks and trappers. A sign hung in the middle indicates "A Tribute to Franco-Ontarians".
I ended the year with a photographic fail. Hint: try not to start the development process with fixer instead of D-76. I noticed my mistake after a few minutes, at which point I dumped the fixer, rinsed, and started over again with D-76. The negatives came out very thin and grainy, though.
By avoiding these 20 common mistakes, you might just save your startup.

Yesterday I was so sick that I couldn't come to the office - fitst time since I can remeber. I'm usually very healthy. However, when I do catch a cold, it almost invariably attracts an opportunistic bacterial infection and I get very sick in only two or three days. I started Cipro yesterday morning and today I'm back to work.
I'm now so far behind (it's the 19th here now - the last post is dated the 16th), that I don't know if I'll catch up. I thank TELIKOM for that. If I can find a cheapy shyster in Madang today, I'm going to file a million Kina lawsuit against the clowns just for the sake of harrassment.
Here's this morning's sunrise, the first nice one for several weeks: Since I had notheing better to do that tn harrass TELIKOM yesterday, insisted that a data technician come to my house and do a data transmission test from there to the exchange. The results were exactly what I've been telling them for the last five years. The decades-old cable are totally incapable of transmitting data. This morning, when I got up, I didn't even have a dial tome.
Here's a typical shot of a TELIKOM junction box: What have we here? Hmm. . . Among other items that don't belong there are water, buai spet (the horrible bloody-looking stuff that is spat from the mouth when chewing betel nut), various bits and pieces of garbage, and someone's shoe. I have seen worse. The seem to make a convenient place to, ah, . . . how can I put this . . . take a dump. I wonder if this is a matter of bodily necessity or a comment about TELIKOM. I'v been tempted.
Need more TELIKOM goodness? How about this shot that I took only this morning outside my own office: Well, that certainly doesn't look quite so messy. However, close inspection shows some serious no-no items. First is the continual flooding. I've often seen this box full to the brim with water. Chek out the silly attemtps to plug the thing up with scraps of tape. The black bulb contains all of the junctions between the wires. It is supposed to be water-tight. Does it look water-tight to you?
I've had it with TELIKOM.
From now on, it's WAR! Startomg TODAY.

Planners reject the renovation of 17th century former Cromwell stopover
PLANS to renovate an historic farm where Oliver Cromwell once stayed overnight in the 17th century have been rejected.
Proposals would have seen Low Hall Farm in Low Hall Road, Horsforth converted into three houses and offices. Councillors welcomed the restoration of the farm house, but said that building an extra 11 houses elsewhere on the site, which is in the Green Belt, were unacceptable.
Councillor Brian Cleasby (Lib Dem, Horsforth) said: "We are certainly not unhappy with changing the use and restoring the existing building but we have difficulty with the new buildings. There is enough profit for the developer in the existing properties without adding more houses. There are no exceptional circumstances to warrant this." Coun Clive Fox (Con, Otley and Wharfedale) agreed and added: "This development is over the top."
