Had time this morning to explore a little of the area in which we spent the night. Twin Falls is situated alongside the Snake River. A huge canyon lies adjacent to the town so we went and had a look at that. We visited the Shoshone Falls which is situated four miles from the city. We were expecting quite a sight as we had read that it plunges 2I2 feet into the canyon below, making it considerably higher than Niagara but our timing was off. With the area being predominantly agricultural, most of the water had been siphoned for irrigation. The Twin Falls were also another disappointment. We also searched but were unsuccessful in finding the site where Evil- Knievel attempted to leap across the Snake River canyon in 1974. He failed but apparently the dirt ramp he used to launch his rocket powered motorcycle remains. We then journeyed a little further west near the town of BuhI. This was to be the most west point on our trip that we got. We found the so called world famous balanced rock, almost by accident along a dirt road with no great fanfare at all. It was quite intriguing and we were to see a few more in the next few days. This particular rock is 48 feet high, 40 feet wide and the base is only 3 feet by 17 and a half inches. It looks Like it is going to fall off! We climbed to the top and Liz had great fun slipping and sliding down on the return trip! The whole area was quite interesting really. Lots of basalt formations caused by past volcanic eruptions. At this point we decided to take a slightly alternate route to the Golden Spike in Utah from which we had previously planned. We decided to continue south through Roseworth and across to route 93 to Jackpot on the Nevada border. We soon got very lost travelling in circles on unsignposted and very dusty roads. We eventually found ourselves on a private road leading to a house. Peter went in and asked for directions. It turned out that the people in this house out in the middle of nowhere had had an Australian exchange student a couple of years ago! We finally reached Jackpot, a town which we guess was established principally to cater to society's gamblers. Full of casinos and trailer homes, it was nothing flash at all. A sign at the edge of the town reads: “Hope you enjoyed our slotspitality”.
We continued on 93 to the Interstate 80 freeway at Wells then headed back east crossing into Utah at Wendover. The terrain is very flat and unexciting but with distant mountain ranges always in view. We spent some time crossing the Great Salt Lake Desert and passed Bonneville Salt Flats where many automobile land speed records have been set. We were very shaken at one point when a couple of jet fighters from a nearby Air Force base buzzed over our heads as they turned direction over the freeway. As we approached Salt Lake City we decided to visit the Golden Spike the next day as we would not really have enough time for a comfortable visit. Our hotel here in which we spent the next two nights was the best and most comfortable of the whole trip. We discovered too that some places had coffee facilities which surprised us as in our past experience here we really have not found it too common.

I got home from a fight with my parents to come home earlier,so i can do this picture.I did it,and i HATE IT!everything is just wrong,and i haven't got any time left to redo it...i feel terrible and soo tired...

This goes to me because I didn't take any pictures today. I guess tomorrow I'll just take double or triple or something because I'm going to the city. But I didn't want to leave ya'll with nothing so I give you this. Me being bored with index cards, a sharpie, and a mac.
says made with REAL orange juice then at the bottom it says it a "simulated drink". Very confusing. Had fun with the waiter. I told them I was going pay with "simulated" cash for my simulated drink. LOL
This is a nice looking pannier, but not at all designed to actually stay on a rack. Mine falls off 2-3 times per day. Luckily no major accidents have been caused, and my laptop (which I now realize should not go in one of these) still works, but this thing was already falling apart, as well as falling off, after 1 month of use.
Might work as a short ride/market bag, but don't ride over any bumps or 10 mph. It IS, however, pretty effectively waterproof.
Adjusted the headset yesterday and this morning I realized that the rear brake cable is on the wrong side of the stem. Oh well...
Today my GP tried to remove my magnetic implant, but it proved difficult- it had migrated deep in my finger, and came apart as he tried to get a hold of it. Almost from the first incision before he got anywhere near it shards of the magnet started coming out, and it seems the main body of the magnet adhered to scar tissue. For now, and probably ever, it's staying inside.
Resultado: Fail e ridícula. Fiquei 1 dia com ela, só não tirei no mesmo dia que passei porque não tive tempo.

Part fish, part corn, Team Co-op's Crappie Corn didn't make it past the Bay. Still, it was the first sculpture to cross the finish line so the crowd gave it a rousing cheer while the Kinetic Madness band played a fanfare.
In this shot, I got to around 40 points, and then failed. Later, while not taping, I got 70 points (out of a total of 100).

I FAILED!
I tried to do smokey eyes but i got something in my eye and literary start to cry :'(
I had to remove all the makeup before i got a picture of the makeup (that even wasn't very pretty)
I think this was a good photo to start with, because this photo indicate my start of this Flickr journery - you learn from you mistakes and a lot of good things start with a fail. Sometimes you have to fail to got it right. If my next photo is alright, you know i failed at first time.
Everybody have to start somewhere in my case its here!

My "travelin' kid", freight train hoppin', "homeless" daughter and her 11 month old Rott mix Pippen were here for a 2-week visit. One evening near the end of her stay I got the bright idea to do a portrait of her and Pipps. ha! I set up lights and a funky backdrop, but neither she nor the dog were really into a modeling session. Not very cooperative. We all gave up after less than 15 minutes.
I've been playing about with capturing action perfectly still, and making a mess in the progress.

the Banana Boat was stationary....I understand its hard to get back onto a Banana Boat, but this was already the third attempt...
Well, it started out as a good idea! I used my trusty chocolate chip cookie dough recipe, reduced the chips to 2 tbsp, added 3 tbsp cocoa powder and 1/2 tbsp ground espresso.
That was fine... now comes the fail. I added 4 1/4oz of Valentine's Day style candy corn - which Andrew loves. I thought they'd just stay more or less formed, but as you can see, not so much!
Andrew did say he liked them though - especially munching on the brittle candy shards!
