This cute little fluffball is a woolly aphid. The waxy coating helps protect it from drying out, and may repel predators, too. Leavenworth, Kansas, USA, May 24, 2025.

Nestled among the ripe cherries at the top of the tree is where this little faerie was found. Red is her favorite color so coaxing her onto this necklace was no trouble at all. She now sits upon a cherry red ab glass cabochon that has been set in a lace wired bezel and topped with an antique gold leaf. Above her head is a Red swarovski crystal for extra shine.

Finally got some pics of my Amethyst Faerie, I just finished her hair a couple of hours ago. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton, and real amethyst beads for her ball-joints. Now she just needs a dress!
