I painted vintage seam binding tape with setacolor paints and came up with this lovely ribbon. I will use this as part of my faeries garments.
My sister does the most interesting things when she rambles. This wasn't planned I just got her talking, held up a screen, and presto! a trapped faerie.

Every year, on the first sunny day after the first rain of the season, a ritual occurs throughout the bay area...
We call it the Launch of the Faeries... it is actually subterranean termite alates, launching from their nests in countless thousands, overwhelming the predators and ensuring that some survive to proceed with the next generation.
I adore faeries and everything to do with fairies and magical things. this one is stone figure that we have in the garden. Maybe I'll capture a real one one day... : )
