Photos from the DCPA Theatre Company's world premere performance of 'FADE,' on Feb. 12. Our gallery includes photos backstage before the show, and from the celebration after the performance. The party was held in Club Denver, which was transformed to look like an actual TV writers' room on a Hollywood lot. In Tanya Saracho's new play 'FADE,' the Mexican-born Lucia is hired to write for a Latina TV character in a cutthroat Hollywood TV studio. She soon discovers that the Latino studio custodian, Abel, has a windfall of plot ideas. As their friendship grows, his stories start to blur with hers, with unexpected consequences. 'FADE' is directed by Jerry Ruiz and features Mariana Fernández as Lucia and Eddie Martinez as Abel. 'FADE' plays through March 13 in the Ricketson Theatre. For more information: dcpa.today/OPek4t. On the back of this picture it says "Village between Agon-Coutainville and La Haye du Puits, Sunday"- we were holiday-ing in my Hillman Husky in Northern France in 1994 and took a wrong turn up a country road- to be faced with this rather faded and battered old sign (there was one on each side of an old barn)- so we swung the car around, pulled up next to it, jumped out and took this photo, jumped in and drove off again, much to the astonishment and amusement of the farmer and his friend leaning up and nearby fence talking to each other. Boring fact alert! The barely visible logo bottom right (actually a 'mobius strip' - check it on wikipedia, sort of a never-ending twist) was the international/European symbol of co-operation.

Much better On Black

I've used my spare time yesterday to do some sorting and cleaning in my room, which I haven't exactly lived in for the past 3 years (army and stuff).

So I played around with the summer clothes at the top two shelves and this is what's there now.

I liked it...

I don't know why the colors in this one came out so weird and faded. But I kind of like it. It reminds me of an old postcard.

Subject : Fading white lines at the junction of Kimberley & Mafeking Road N17

Please see my photo on Flickr. It shows white lines painted on the roadway at the junction of Kimberley Road and Mafeking Road Tottenham N17.

As you can see, the lines indicating that the right of way belongs to Mafeking Road are getting faint. I am concerned in case this leads to an accident/accidents with drivers unfamiliar with these streets not realising - until it's too late - that the east-west side road (Mafeking Road) has precedence at this junction.

So can the white lines please be refreshed/repainted for safety? Thanks.

Well not really, but I thought it fitting to give this photo of our shooting in a train museum the look of an old, faded picture...

The roses of spring are so top-heavy they're starting to droop..... like these a few doors down the block.

Week 44

A new lens for a new look. Last week I bought a new film camera which came with a 50mm f1.4 lens. I was so excited to shoot with it but I needed to buy an adapter for it. The adapter came on friday so as soon as I was free, I picked it up from my house and slapped the lens of my camera. I have been exclusively shooting with it for the past couple days and I am really liking it. It is nothing too special when compared to my crazier helios lenses but in terms of image quality it retains a fairly sharp image wide open which is hard to come by in a fast lens such as this. For the price, I am very happy to add this lens to my collection.

I can't wait to see what this next week will bring!

There was a time when it seemed a good samaratin in one of the old WC terminals drew upon a stash of Wisconsin Central Ltd. sheilds and would periodically refresh those nose logos that had faded into oblivion. Now it seems that person has moved on or the stash ran out, as evidenced by the nose of the 3010.

While riding in the Ride for a Reason event last Sunday, the route took us on some roads I have not been on (image that) so had the opportunity to shoot some new barns.
