The trees on Lyndon Hill are eaten up by the wonderful mists that gathered in the River Chater valley below.
Vaucluse Lighthouse at Sunset and if you look closely you will see Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background .
Light fading at the end our hike yesterday at the Kings River Blessington. What a wonderful and beautiful location.
Spent and faded flower of a spring crocus (Pulsatilla patens). Still pretty in shades of beige, buff and gold.

A horse grabs some last minute grass snacks as both natural and artificial lights gradually fade in his world. Every hour of every day is the same length but we tend to notice the approaching darkness more as we age.
I like that visual feeling of a figure fading into the room around them, just the light making the figure stand out from the interior.
"Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness, know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again..."

Though some believe in diamonds and pearl
And feel like they're on top of the world,
They shall fade away, hear what I say.

Don't let the fading light on the horizon deter us from expressing our vision. This is the flattery of the fading light...

The faded roses of my birthday flower bouquet my Mum gave me last week.Or rather the week before that, as it's already Sunday by now. I've uploaded this image a few days ago already but kept it private as I wasn't sure whether I really wanted to keep it or not. But I don't really have anything else at the moment, I'm trying to cut back on my computer/post processing time a bit to make time for some other things again :-).
They're looking a bit sorry by now (and even sorrier by now, another 3 days later) and I really should bin them (and I'm going to today) but somehow they look a bit like how I feel at the moment. Sort of pffffffffffffffffffffffffff. Looking forward to my birthdays less and less these days.
Morning sun shining through tulips that are past their prime. I like the softer focus and hues and I was pleased with the composition so am submitting to 7 DOS, Members Gallery, Shiny Saturday and to Flickr Golf Club for your viewing pleasure :-) View On Black
Thank you Flickr friends for your kind thoughts and prayers for my family. My dad is home from the hospital and his pain was caused by a flare-up in an arthritic spine and not a heart attack. I have both parents set up at home with an aide and have returned to Phoenix with a less heavy heart. Your kind words, emails and calls have been wonderful to receive. Thank you!!
This photo is dedicated to all of you, especially those of you who are experiencing illness in your own families. The living eventually fade, but even in their fading, they are still beautiful. So it is with all of us. Remember to be kind---it is not an easy process to age.
