I've spent lots of time processing pictures of street art to try and make them "come to life" by giving them the appearance of three dimensions. This one is an experiment in the other direction.

A inspiração veio do trabalho de colagem para o bar Numero.
The allure of cheap fuels has long been the drug of American railroads. In 2012-2013 CN experimented with LNG fueled locomotives. As has been the case with nearly every other class one railroad the infrastructure and paradigm shifts required to fully realize the cost savings available with LNG fuel were just too far out of reach for the debilitatingly conservative minds that rule the industry. Alas the once glamour girl 5261 has been returned to burn diesel and for the moment is making its home in Fond du Lac working lowly yard jobs and locals..
Now, this looks Christmassy!
Bridge was acting up, so after I fixed it I worked on this : )
With a bit of a reverse vignette in Raw, for a more ethereal look.
The Bank of China Tower is distorted. It will be better next time.
My second attempt is in here: www.flickr.com/photos/d-k-t/5308985251
When I just finished the shot for the top of Bank of China, the lens aperture got stuck. I couldn't got more shots for the top part, so the shot is distorted.
Here in Southeastern Utah, trailer homes are a popular housing option where boom and bust economies exist. In some areas, an old trailer, and or an old kitchen appliance, and or dead cars are part of the landscape and can even be considered sort of religious icons or art projects as they get traded around between family members and close friends.
I have my own trailer, (sans old kitchen appliances and dead cars) acquired years back to serve as a quiet/artistic space away from the "flying f**ks" and drywall dust that banged and floated around the house while we were remodeling our home. It now serves as storage for boating and camping gear.
On stormy evenings, when the setting sun peeks through clouds, the trailer's door and windows glow an other-worldly gold with the white siding fading to blue. The scene always seems to present itself at times when I'm cooking dinner or too tired and lazy to pick up the camera.
Last week, while photographing storm clouds, I went to the back of the house for possible rainbow views and saw the gold without any rainbow and decided to dance a little with ICM and Multiple exposure.
It's amazing what you find when you look.
This is an experiment with a (for me) new type of lightning tool. It is a bit brighter than I would like and I will have to experiment a bit to find a real use for it.
Still I thought the outcome was at least moderately interesting.
I had a long and good chat with one of my freinds this night and it really got me exited to try something new, so this is an experimental series of shots and im pretty happy how the pictures came out with this easy but strange method!
done with 3 different exposure in CS2, i think Photomatix should do better. no?
