Professor Golan Levin and (TA) Claire Hentschker presented an exhibition of student projects from “Experimental Capture”, an interdisciplinary course in which students come to understand and build representations of the world using devices that sense beyond the limits of human perception.

I took one of my photos of Cat Power, divided it up into 96 squares of equal size, and started editing each square as an independent image, mostly blurring, playing with contrast or adding noise, without concern about whether it matches the adjacent squares. Then I began putting the pieces back together. This is the top fourth of the photo, reassembled.

I've put a 42 tooth chainring onto the MLCM (changing the gear range from 115-40" down to 101-35") to see if that will make it easier for me to stomp up hills without making the chain go skiP-skIp-sKip-Skip! if I'm in the wrong gear.
Sure, I lose one of my descending gears, but at ~190 pounds (grr!) the MLCM plummets downhill with /enthusiasm/ even if I don't pedal.

Established in 2010 in Kwun Tong industrial district, The Cave is a new upcoming team of design and creatives in Hong Kong. The team is formed by seven young local design professions, ranging from graphic design, interior design and fashion design. The team has been courageous since the start and is known for their handmade experimental reclaimed wood furniture by using abandon pallet wood and many were later exhibited in numbers of exhibitions.

The light trail in the two Elkmont photos posted here are 30-second exposures that captured the movements of a couple of their famous fireflies. These were a little unusual in that they stayed lit for so long instead of flashing as the rest do.
Yeah, I know there's a lot of noise, but it was the best that camera (Nikon D70) would do.
