Prawn and Pork Rib Tossed Noodles - Singapore Chom Chom
Good homely food. Nothing fantastic.
I took the option of "mee pok", the wide egg noodles.
Hans Brinker, another cafe for QV Melbourne. This time it is Dutch Pancakes. I presume they would be selling Poffertjes, Dutch mini pancakes.
The owners, Malaysians, I think, were supervising the work today. They are obviously targeting the lucrative Asian student dollar!

We added a bamboo fence to our little succulent garden. All we are missing is a pagoda to make it a little Japanese-style garden.

Mum decided that she wanted to try to make a savoury Vietnamese pancake, so she enlisted Aunt Lee Geok to experiment.
The finished product was very tasty, but because we tend to be health conscious, we can't bring ourselves to use the requisite amount of oil to crisp the edges.

Quite a work of art. It apparently took quite a bit of experimentation before they arrived at this canoli batter.

CASIO EXILIM Pro EX-F1 and EXILIM Card EX-S10 receive a Plus X Award 2008
CASIO digital cameras triumph in Europe's largest technology competition
Norderstedt, May 2008 - Two digital cameras from the CASIO range have both won a Plus X Award 2008 in Europe's largest technology competition. The high-speed digital camera EXILIM Pro EX-F1 received its award in the Innovation and Ease of Use categories. The EXILIM Card EX-S10, one of the world's flattest 10.1-megapixel digital cameras, won its coveted award in the Ease of Use category.
Thanks to its innovative high-speed CMOS sensor and its high-speed LSI processor, the EXILIM Pro EX-F1 is able to take up to 60 photos a second at full resolution and record high-speed movies for slow motion playback at up to 1,200 fps. The EX-F1 also features Full High-Definition (Full HD) movie* recording capability. The EXILIM Card EX-S10 has enabled CASIO to continue its succes story with ultra-compact cameras, which started with the launch of its EXILIM range in 2002. This range combines elegant, slim designs with innovative camera technologies. The high-quality stainless steel case and their colouring in silver, black, red and blue mean this stylish camera is a real eye-catcher. Thanks to its high contrast, the ultra-bright TFT colour display (Super Clear LCD) gives a particularly clear view of images.
The Plus X Awards have already entered their fifth year. They are awarded in recognition of outstanding technology in consumer electronics, telecommunications, information technology, household appliances, home technology systems, photo technology, car entertainment as well as power tool and gardening technology. The highlight of Europe's largest technology competition is the award ceremony at the Plus X Award Night, where the best products of the year are announced. The Plus X Award ceremony took place in Cologne on May 20, 2008.
* Maximum recording time in HD / full HD quality: 29 minutes per movie.

Tempura Rice Ball, with sweetened red beans, served with green tea and vanilla ice cream at Chocolate Buddha.
Yum!
A bit of an East-meets-West dish. The Tempura Rice Ball is very much like deep fried rice ball, Italian style. Served with the very typically Japanese sweetened red/azuki beans and ice cream.
The plain dosai was a bit thin for my liking. I prefer it a bit thicker, less crunchy and less greasy. At $4.50 it's not the cheapest dosai in town either.

Korean rice bowl with mixed pickled vegetable and stir fried beef topped with a runny egg. Yummy, especially with the Korean chilli sauce. Not as good as the Let's Bap Korean restaurant in Holmesglen though.

Delicious!

Simple spring rolls that were absolutely delicious. The pastry was crunchy with a bit of bite. It was a tad on the greasy side, but given the speed at which they appeared, it probably didn't have time to drain into paper towels.
