This is a special place, woods behind, ocean ahead, ponds & marshes either side. I passed a man with microphone & equipment, recording the sounds of the evening bird calls. Birds have much to say at the end of the day!

Low evening sun rakes across the clapboard of an Oak Park home, the sweeping arms of a mature tree etched in shadow across the facade. The stillness of a summer evening in full leaf.

Been a long hard two days with dance class on top of it all. So need a little more quiet me time. Not sure I will get any this year. Went for a different hair style tonight. Heaven knows what it will look like in the morning.

I made a trip to the Princeton BC area today and on a very busy rural road I found a few Evening Grosbeaks.
Just another evening at home playing with the camera on the phone.
Think I might have relocated my mojo after yesterday's rather low view of what I do. Thanks for all your encouraging words xc
Early evening on the Summer Solstice, the Longest Day of the year, still bright sunlght and warmth at after 8pm (the sun wouldn't set till after ten, although even then the sky remains quite light, not dark, and the dawn is back before 4am),
The evening light and calm waters of the canal created this almost perfect reflection of the red stone, Neo-Gothic Polwarth Parish Church and the blue sky above. The tall trees lining the towpath created a deep shade (nice to sit under to escape the beating sunshine), while the church was still bathed in sunlight.
I felt it would be a shame to conclude this series from Stresa in Italy without a photo of a locomotive from a class other than the ubiquitous E.464.
Here is Class 189 electric locomotive No. 189 938, a Siemens Type ES64F4 multi-voltage design. She is speeding northbound through Stresa station with a light engine move on the evening of Monday 26th August 2019.

We stayed in a lovely big Air bnb room when we stayed in Pisa for the first night. I'm not sure who the owner was - but judging by the books and paraphernalia around, it would seem he had something to do with film. I'm sure he would have approved of the lighting ...
