It might have been a sharper image, but the M42 lens mounted on a Nikon D60 has a limited range, certainly won't focus to infinity. I kind of liked the effect, nonetheless.

This is an Iris in my front yard garden...it's new for me as last year the plant had no blooms on it...I thought it looked beautiful capturing the evening light....I recommend viewing large on black.:).

It had been a day of fierce, thundery showers interspersed with brief spells of sunshine - much the pattern of Summer 2023.
For a few moments these clouds caught the last of the setting sun before merging for yet another pelting of rain.
An evening commuter train from Maynooth to Dublin-Connolly reflected in the Royal Canal just outside Maynooth, Ireland. The train was made up of three Irish Rail Class 2800 two-car Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs). The front unit was 2811/12, the back unit was 2807/08 and I have no idea what the middle unit was.

A serene moment in the evening. The bugs have left, the water is still, the sun is setting and the moon is coming out. All this results in a crisp reflection that my point and shoot camera could only attempt to capture.
