Evening Sky
A flight comes into MCO about an hour after sunset...

The weather and the light was a bit up and down this evening - a shower of rain, sunshine, cloud and then repeat...I caught the bark of this tree in the churchyard of St Julian's during a moment of nice light - interesting texture to the bark
This far north, the days are as long as a shaddows and the golden light of evening. This photo was taken close to 9PM on a beautifully calm summer day.

Brisbane evening light at Newstead
Before heading home to spend the evening with my wife, I snapped this picture of the sun setting behind the trees.
I got quite the surprise as I had my long lens trained on our feeder taking photos of battling Pine Siskins. All of a sudden my viewfinder was filled with this much larger bird! I don't think I've ever seen one before, so this was quite the treat to be so close to her (about 10' through a window.)
It's snowing in Blighty again, it started here around 1.30pm and hasn't stopped. This is how I like snow, all fresh and crunchy underfoot but tomorrow it will probably be hard icy and very slippery. The sky is very orange, from the street lights reflecting off the snow filled clouds so I guess we are in for one hell of a snow fall tonight!
