When I arrived at the Low Head Pilot Station I had been on my covert photographic trip for nearly four hours. The light was fading fast, and I didn't have time to set up my tripod as planned. So these shots are handheld and had to be taken quickly.

I like the light in this one, the powder blue sky as it fades to black. And above this lovely house sits a crescent moon. To the right is the front of the Old School House we saw in the previous photograph. If you enlarge the photograph you can read the sign on the school house showing it dates from 1866.

A welcome change after 12 days without rain.

just playing outside a bit after the sprinklers went off...

First and only shot I got of tonight's t-storm as it passed through Lee County. The rains, the wind and the (basically) full moon with all the ambient light destroyed my efforts to get into the lightning zone. Sigh. Maybe next time.

I feel very tired this evening.... also a bit down....
