Triple tone-mapped exposures blended in PS.
Furthermore, a contrast enhancement of the trees in the back with a custom Curve layer. The global color toning comes from multiple layers such as a local Selective Color adjustment and the a yellow/red tinted Black & White layer blended with the Soft Light layer-mode on 34% opacity to mimic a Warm Mist filter. Nighty night!

Captured on the evening of May 10, an hour and 15 minutes before it was fully dark (twilight is long that far north this time of year).
The moon set a little bit north of west, so the bands of green aurora stretched east-west overhead, converging on the east and west horizons. That pattern continued all night. The brightest band often ran across the sky to the south of us (as in this photo).

I sowed some Evening Primrose, (oenothera), seeds in my garden several years ago, in two different shades of yellow, they still pop up from time to time, in different places, this year one of each has grown, the flowers open at dusk and fade quickly as the sun reaches them. I took this photograph on a misty morning.

A nice evening, the sun in my back illuminated the clouds from below. it was an interesting kind of sky & cloud glow for only 10 minutes.

I finally managed to get out for a little air Friday afternoon/evening in my new neighborhood of New Tripoli –I just had to avoid people, not touch anything and have hand sanitizer handy. Unfortunately, I still don’t have masks or latex gloves.
The distinct sound of dynamic brakes echos throughout the mountains as Union Pacific 9098 guides a heavy Green River to Roseville manifest across the Keddie Wye. The summer evening sunlight highlights this classic railroad scene which has been a favorite of photographers for decades.

Here is the Evening star known as Venus. The clouds kept rolling in, and for split second, Venus reappeared and I captured, it, before the clouds decided to cover it again. The Bright star you see in the Photo is Venus. You may need to zoom in a little to see it.
Steam Dreams' Tuesday shuttles from London Victoria to Windsor and Surrey Hills circulars have continued in recent weeks, though with several cancelled due to low bookings or loco availability issues. WCRC class 33 no.33025 is seen coasting down Grovesnor Bank shortly before arriving at London Victoria with 5Z55 17:35 ECS from Willesden South West Sidings on 27th July 2021, in readiness for that evening's 'Sunset Steam Express' via Chertsey and Redhill. LNER B1 Class no.61306 'Mayflower' was at the rear of the train to haul the charter.
A late afternoon/early evening departure from Soo yard LO-34 was a fine chase during the longer daylight months of the year. Here's 4151 and 6534 getting 57 cars on the roll at Trout Lake on May 28, 1994.
Early vs late, love the pinks and blues in the light from the sunset, almost dreamlike colours! Star trails are from about 30 mins of rotation later on.
