The are mammatus clouds -- forming a unique and expansive coverage of the sky over Dallas. Although mammatus are common in the turbulent skies near spring thunderstorms, this was pretty special to catch over the city at sunset.

This was taken last year when I took my niece for a Giraffe experience for her birthday. We had such a wonderful time

in Puerto del Cotillo.

Shot somewhere between Cody and Yellowstone, the early evening sun made for some interesting shadows.

His tail slightly fanned in agitation at several American Goldfinches that had the temerity to be using HIS feeder. He scared them off pretty quick and had a good snack.
